  1. I wouldn't recommend it. Expertise: I come from a long, proud line of draft dodgers and non-joiners.

    Hi

I respect whatever you believe in, or whatever belief you may have.

    Thank you

  2. Join the Airforce. They actually have customer service... lol. We didn't have that in the Army. USARMY is a backwards acronym. Yes My Retarded #### signed Up... lol

    Hello,

I went to airforce recruiting station, but I found out that they don't have any kind of program that would help me to finish my bachelor in nursing, but the Navy do.

    Thank you

  3. Though it was a long time ago that I served in the US Navy (1971-1975) here is my opinion. If you join the Navy it will be an experience that you will never forget. If you go in with positive attitude your experience we be positive. There are so many benefits from serving in the US military including educational and citizenship to name a few. Work toward learning a skill that you can use after you are discharged. If I were to do over I would stay for 20 years and retire with a "pension". Get a 2nd career and work for 20 years and retire. Now I have two retirement incomes plus Social Security. I'm set for the rest of my life. If you make investments along the way your even better off.

    Good luck in your decision.

I very much appreciate your input. I've always desire to be part of the military. Finally my husband agreed after 4 years of convincing. Navy has caught my attention, because they do have this program called Nurse Candidate Program (NCP). This spring semester is my last semester as Pre-Nursing Major student. My Husband and I think that we couldn't afford for me to transfer to a University to finish up my nusring school and we don't want to apply for student loan, we got denied for pell grant. So navy is the only option for me to finish school for free. Nursing and Military for me, its two birds in one stone.

    Thank you

  4. Hello VJ,

Gosh, it's been like decade since the last time I posted something on here. I came to the US in 2009, and now I am one step closer of becoming a united states navy. I just want to reach out if there are filipina like me who are trying to join or already in the navy. I just want to gather some ideas, or a heads up what it's like.

    Thank you,

    Maddy

  5. I agree. I think you should be with her during interview. =)

No need for Petitioner to attend interview

If he has time and money to do it, then by all means do it.

Being critical for him being there in order for his girl to get an approval, Not really............

True,,, When I had my interview hubby was there, the consul didn't let him in while i was interviewed.

Hubby was 44 and I was 19 when we meet each other,, been married for 4 years now..

  6. Hi all, I'm trying to work out the schedule for my fiancee to fly here to Texas. Her POE (Point Of Entry) will be Los Angeles. How much time should i try and schedule for her when she arrives in L.A., before she continues on to Texas?

I really have no idea what's involved at the POE, or how long it will take....could someone please give me some first-hand experiences to give me an idea of how i should schedule her flight to allow her enough time at the POE?

    Thanks alot.

Hi, When i flew from Taiwan to LA (Point Of Entry) I had 4 hours before my flight to Dallas texas. It gave me time to go through immigration and everything that needed to be done before my next flight.

    Maddy.

  7. hi to all

anyone here fly by eva air? we are contemplating between eva air and hawaiian airlines to sac,ca..... the former is really cheap at 431usd(inclusive of tax) one way on sept but are there any issues at taipei stop-over? if ever i will have 5 hrs of waiting to leave again to sac. Will i be able to go out the airport for window shopping perhaps just to burn my time? ive been to taiwan (taipei)before but on work visa so i dont know if we needed visa to be able to get out of the airport while waiting on board again.

or other airline suggestions are welcome. :star:

thank u for reading and replying..... bless to everyone
