    Thank Thanks! I just did and screen shot and sent it. I know its not needed but I know for sure I helped because hubby was only asked 5 questions and they had all our proof laying on the table so I know for sure it helps. Thanks for that info!

    oh no!!! when I started the process the attorneies was screwing things up then too so this site helped everyone that didnt want to deal with that. below Is my crazy process too. It took forever!

    I ran into a couple recently that has just gotten to NVC and I was explaining to them years ago when I did this we sent proof of relationship at this step as well. I know its not needed but just want letting them know what I did. Then she goes to say we aren't allowed to send anything to NVC its all electronic now. Is that so now? No proof of income police report etc being sent in as a packet now to NVC? a lot has changed if thats the case. Bust just wondering incase she is lost in the process.

    Someone will have to pick it up for you. On the ethiopia embassy dashboard it gives you the number to the police department and you can call them and ask about the process im on my phone and havent been on this website in a while but the quick answer is yes you can

    Hi everyone I need help how do I cancel a ir1 if the person has been approved after he went to the interview but was placed under administrative processing and now the administrative processing is complete and they want to issue the visa but they haven't yet. The reason am cancelling the man has been abusive and he strangled me and I also learned that he is not from where he said he is from he lied. Am really scared for my life and kids life

    I would create a new thread so others besides us can give you a true answer. Im not sure maybe contact the embassy right away. If he so happen to make it here just dont deal with him. Let him go somewhere else and file for a divroce . Just my opinion if he in deeds get his visa.

    If that expired then I am not so sure that she can interview there. It is perhaps embassy specific and best to ask them.

    You don't want to go through all that and then be told you can not interview there.

    yea exactly. I went on their website to see if there was something about who is qualified to apply for a visa in that country but that would be all to right if they had that section lol( unless im missing it). so that's why I asked here. I told him to check on it but I think they gonna just gamble and go there. its next month so even if they say she cant interview there they can just email Ethiopia asking for the transfer anyways.

    Both. They can still try again to clarify the transfer and she can interview in UAE if she has legal residence or visa there as long as she

    is not illegally there.

    It would be easier and cheaper to get it in Ethiopia since she is already there. Perhaps it was not articulated clearly enough

    that she wanted a transfer. Address this in the next email.

    Did the letter come from NVC or is the case already at the embassy and the embassy send the letter ?

    I would email again to get it in Ethiopia.

    the case is at the embassy in UAE and UAE sent the interview letter again. I believe they want it done and over with instead of trying again haha. so he wanted to make sure it was ok to travel back. she will get a visa and just interview there.

    Ethiopia is on a 6 month waiting period for interviews so the fear is not only will it not transfer but when it does will they have to wait the 6 months to be scheduled.

    She wants to interview in Ethiopia but got re scheduled for UAE, date was changed but not embassy, just so I understand correctly.

    I would email Ethiopia and request an interview transfer from UAE to Ethiopia. If UAE agrees then it should be no problem.

    Make a clear brief request that due to delivering a baby in ____she wants to interview in Ethiopia.

    Previous transfer request resulted in change of date but not embassy and you are requesting again that your case be transfered

    to Ethiopia not UAE.

    yea that's correct. well they emailed them before and it didn't work so he was just saying should he send her back there just to get the interview over with or should they gamble again and try to get the embassy moved? I mean I think the question is can she still do her interview in UAE? she doesn't mind traveling back to do it.

    hey all,

    im helping someone and here is the story. his wife was living in dhabi for I believe 2 years, she got scheduled for a interview there and because she wanted to have her baby in Ethiopia they tried to reschedule the interview in Ethiopia since she was going to be there. they sent a letter to change embassies 2 months ago. he just got another letter today stating we reschedule your interview with Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in November! really, so they didn't change the embassy.

    our question is can she just go back to dhabi and interview there or she needs to had set up residence again? im confused on residence in other countries. can she just obtain a visa and go to the interview? hope im clear if not ill try to be more clearer.
