  1. Our K-1 VISA was approved at the interview in Honduras on December 10, and still no word on the VISA being ready. It says 'ISSUED' on the site, but not available for pickup yet and we called only to be told "You just have to wait until it is ready"

It's so frustrating because it's been almost a month and it's supposed to be ready in just 10 days or less.

Anyways maybe its just processing issues because they are changing some things at the beginning of the new year

  2. My fiance had his interview on December 10, 2014 in Honduras. He was approved for the K1 Visa, and online the system says the VISA has been issued. However, his passport is still not at Cargos Express where it is supposed to be picked up. The embassy says that it is still in process and could take much longer, but online it says to inquire if it is not ready within 5 days.

This is so frustrating because we bought a plane ticket for January 23, thinking that a month and a half would be plenty of time to get the VISA. However, now nobody from the embassy will give us any information they just say that it is being processed.

Has anyone ever experienced something similar? If so, how did you handle this?

  3. My fiance is supposed to have his interview this Wednesday in Honduras. However, he has been unable to get the long form of the birth certificate because the agencies that produce them have broken printers and were unable to do it while he was in Tegucigalpa (the capital). Should he go ahead and go to the interview without this paper, and then just bring it back to the embassy when he finally gets the paper? Or will they say he has to completely redo his interview?

    Thought quick please.

He may just go ahead and try to reschedule the interview tomorrow if he still can´t get that birth certificate.

  4. We're approved!!! Just got our text.

Just this morning we heard back from our Congressman's office (after over a month!) that it was "delayed due to background checks issues" (sic) -- which seeing as it was within the normal processing time, I don't know why they would call it delayed --and that it was with an officer for final adjudication now. And we got the approval text the same night!

I guess the CSC transfers must be making a difference at TSC. Good luck to those who're waiting for their news. Stay strong.

Congrats Roger....I hope mine is on the way within a week or two. I'm going to go ahead and start getting some of the documents ready for the interview I suppose.

  5. It's interesting to follow the things happening at the different service centers. Three of the May filers at TSC myself included, who were not transferred to California, received our ARN numbers today, much later than everyone else. I suppose the three of us were all on the same desk at TSC, which goes to show that the theories about different staff working on applications using their own methodology is probably accurate.

    Good luck everyone!

  6. I didn't get any text/email. My NOA1 is May 21st. Is there a cut off date for these transfers? I see a May 15th application here that was transferred. Anyone else with a later NOA1 date? Please let us know.

I've got a NOA1 date of May 5 at TSC. No tranfer for me so I dont think there is much method to the madness (Big surprise there haha). I still havent even received an Alien Registration Number changed message on my case status page.

I will be hoping that with some of these petitions out of the way those of us still stuck at TSC will get pushed along a bit faster.

  7. It's good to see there is finally a little bit of movement at TSC, and things aren't at a complete standstill. Though I'm not surprised that a bureaucratic entity could have such disparities between locations, it is pretty bad when they keep letting it reach these levels and don't find adequate solutions. The TSC processing timeframe is now almost as bad as the Vermont Service Center was when they stopped sending petitions there.

If only they were forward-thinking enough to allow electronic submissions of the paperwork, with a few signed hard copies mailed in with the check just for record-keeping.

That being said, I'm grateful we are in the USA where the government does actually do some things. I had to deal with some paperwork when I was living in my fiance's country and the government there was soooooo slow.

  8. Being at TSC is not fun at all. It seems like the cases their keep getting further and further behind, so now I have no idea when we should expect NOA2's to start coming through for us May filers. Best of luck to everyone.....in the mean time I guess we can watch the World Cup with our significant others for some friendly family rivalry haha. Both USA and my partner's country are in the cup, so that gives me two teams to cheer for this year!
