Hello everyone,
I am a bit confused and if i can get some clarification that would be greatly appreciated!
I have paid the AOS fee and the Visa fee and the status showed paid as of 11/5.
Am i supposed to be waiting for some type of email, or can i just go ahead and have my wife see if she can log into the ds-260 application? I should also start sending the aos packet and the IV packet as well correct?
I called in to NVC and they said i need to wait 60 days but he couldnt tell me for what?!
Thanks

Hey guys, I got my approval text and email today and that marks more or less 6 months and a few days. I pray all of you waiting can get the approvals fast.
2/24 at Nebraska no transfer.

I just hope this all leads to an approval sooner rather than later. It's a bit confusing when you get 2 emails saying to wait and the third that doesn't even make sense which is usually followed by an approval. It is what it is.
Our petition got a wrong update like that too. Just sharing ....
After putting a service request around Aug 8 and we were told to wait till Aug 23 for an update/decision,
On Aug 22, USCIS website case status was in 'initial review' saying that 'On August 22, your address was updated....' even though we received an email the same day, saying our case was approved.
Pretty conflicting, right?
So we called USCIS on Monday (Aug 25) asking about the discrepancy. And a few hours later, the USCIS website was corrected to say 'On August 25, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN....' and the next day, we received an official email saying it's approved.
Back in July, we did change our address and that has already been taken care of and USCIS confirmed via email.
So..........this is what I THINK happened:
The case was actually approved on 22 Aug and 1st email sent was correct ( it was just a bit awkward saying 'it was approved and sent to production'). But the USCIS online status was not updated properly at that time, quoting the old reason of address change. I think that was a clerical error like they forgot to change the body of the status but only updated the date, reflecting the previous/old reason (address change)
So it seems like they do things in a hurry and mix-ups happen where only the date was updated but not the main reason/decision.
hope you'll get your approval real soon!

Hey guys,
I have the following updates:
1) 11:27am received a response from the service request regarding my 1-130 and pretty much said that they had a large volume of cases being processed. That my case is currently under review by an officer and we will receive a decision from an officer regarding their action as soon as it is completed.
2) 1:37pm received the following response from a service request regarding my 129-f, and most applicants will receive a decision or correspondence within 30 days, although some get it earlier. Please contact us if you did not receive anything in 30 days.
3) 2:00pm On Augist 27, 2014, your addressed was changed relating to your i130........
Has anyone received these emails and if so what happened after?
Thanks and God Bless!

chrisaivey,
Thanks for the thorough answer!
I will be calling tier 2 tomorrow and will be reporting what they tell me. I will also call to schedule an info pass appointment in hopes of speeding the process up.
You are right on about coming in illegally actually being easier. Ironically, in college i debated and was super adamant about illegals coming to America the legal way, but life has a way of making you see things through the petitioners/immigrants eyes. Being separated like this for months and years on end is unbelievable.
I pray you all get your approvals soon!

Hey there faith,
My wife was deported as well on her 18th birthday pretty much. She was sentenced a 5 year ban(I have never heard of a 3 year ban - there is 5,10, or 20). We are slowly getting out of the 6th month club and making our way to the 7th month. I am pretty sure as well, it is why it took us a bit longer because of her past mistakes as a minor.
Anyways, USCIS has told me her security/background checks she has passed and now they're going through the box we sent, this is the last update I received which is when I called USCIS last Monday. They did say I should be getting a NOA(RFE/NOA2/APPROVE/DENY) within the next 2 weeks since my case was at the CSC(California Service Center).
There is two things you can do -
1) Call USCIS and speak to a tier 2 operator. These guys know when your case has been accessed last, and can tell you a lot less vague answer on what is going on.
2) Make an INFOPASS appointment. These guys have the same information a tier 2 operator goes, but, from my Senator friend - an INFOPASS appointment during the I130 process is logged on their case files, and helps support that your marriage is indeed bonafide since you physically went to ask about your spouse. It looks very good to the US government.
Other than that, sit back, open up some whiskey(my preference) - find a hobby - maybe even work harder/overtime and save up money to see your SO. As I have told my wife/family, I live on the bible belt where there is a ton of hate for immigrants. I damn well know why people decide to come to this country illegally rather than legally. My wife and I are on month 7 in a few weeks, and at the same time the NVC process is taking around 4-5 months. 1 year of being apart from your family is expected for us who have not yet gotten our NOA2s.

As of today i joined the 6 month club. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light as to what would make uscis put a case through extended review? long story short my wife was in the us as a child, left at 18 and got a 3 year ban. Already completed the ban, she has proof she stayed in her country the whole time...
I've submitted an e request and we should get a response by 9/2. In case we are not approved by then, what other actions can i take? I do have a USCIS office nearby in Santa Ana, CA. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and God Bless you all with approvals!!

I was able to put in an a service request online and it says to expect a reply by 9/2/14.
Priority date is 2/24. Nebraska servicing center and never transferred.
God bless you all and I pray we can all get approvals soon!

LotusRaj: according to the spreadsheets, which of course is just a small sample but as pointed out earlier has been accurate, shows a few novembers being processed. It could be a few weeks maybe upto a month or two based on the spreadsheets. Keep a look out for the spreadsheets and see how many get approved in the next coming weeks and you can kinda guesstimate as to when you will get approved.
-
Well what we can really track for sure are the people that post their case on here and see when their PD is and when they get their approvals. Idk why it says that on that link and it could be that there was a couple of people that were approved for January of 2014, but the majority of November files are just now getting being processesd as the spreadsheets show. All we can do is pray that everyone can be approved without further delays.

Does anyone know if the processing times on the VJ link below are correct? It says that NSC is processing I-130s from January 12, 2014. I've been reading this thread and so far, I see that other VJ members have said NSC is working on October, possibly Nov. 2013 cases, not 2014.

Where is December's spreadsheet?
There's only a few novembers being worked currently so maybe in a week or two December will be made.
-
According to the spreadsheets, NSC has approved 82% of the September filers and 73% of the October filers! As a November filer I really hope they're gonna start working on November petitions next week! Tomorrow is gonna be my 5 month "USCIS anniversary", the next 30 days (till I can file a service request if I have to) are going to kill me
At least I'm visiting my husband right now
Where can I view the spreadsheets?

I'm the petitioner, our priority date was June 24,2013, transferred to Nebraska in Dec, the letter said we'd hear back in 60 days. That came and went, did a service request, an expedite request today. Its going on ten months.
Camden, I'm curious to see why it is that your case hasn't been approved or denied or anything. I know this is personal, but is your case straight forward? I mean no divorces or anything like that, that has the potential to complicate the case?

Hi everyone,
Hope to see some more recent updates with where NSC is at in its approvals. I'm fairly new with my PD 2/26/14. I did get a notification that I-130 and I-29 were merged march 17. The mates was of March 27 when the alien number was changed. Nothing since, so I hope I really picks up for everyone waiting a while.
April 2015 Interviews
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Hey guys, i literally just read this whole thread just now and im in panic mode. I have an interview at the buenos aires embassy april 16, 2015. Heres my questions:
1) We did not receive a "packet 3", we got a p4 interview letter only a few days after CC, did I miss it?
2) The embassy instructions nor medical instructions were emailed to us...just the p4. did we miss this?
3) There is no mention of dhl online registration anywhere on the p4 letter and this is all we have received,
4) On our p4 letter we were not asked to bring any financial evidence (Y), but should we bring the 2014 taxes or transcripts along with new i-864?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
