The reason I am asking is that I have heard that Montreal takes a long time to process visas. I just wanted to know if that is still the case as I saw that on some older posts.

Have you already had your immigrant visa interview? And denied?
Thank you
Yes,we had the interview back in October 2013 and got denied (which we already knew that it would be denied as he was living in the US undocumented for 12 years). We sent the waiver in Nov.

just wanted to know if India was part of MENA countries after I read your post. Thought to read up on it and quoted you out of curiosity that even India isnt part of MENA, it might be a factor for AP.
Does México fall into this category? My husband is a Canadian permanent resident but a Mexican citizen. I am just trying to gauge if we will have any issues when it comes time to issue his visa. We are still waiting to get his i601 waiver approved (fingers crossed).

Hello good people!
I was wondering if anyone on here has the same circumstance. We have applied for the i-601 waiver for my hubby. He is currently living in Canada and I have moved back to the States (the job market in Canada was terrible). Any way, I was wondering what is the process once the waiver is approved hopefully it will, be approved!). Do we have to wait for the Montreal consulate to contact us? Also, how long does it take them to issue the immigrant visa?
