  1. I had my interview yesterday. It was surprisingly painless. ; ) Husband said I was gone for 20 minutes.

Husband, baby and I got there at around 12:55 PM. We checked in, took a seat, and waited for about 10 minutes before my name was called by the officer. Officer was a nice man. We went through my application; asked about my job, and then went through the YES/NO questions. My civics questions were (1) When was the declaration of independence adopted (2) how many years do we elect the president (3) who lived in the United States for the colonists (4) name one of the two great rivers (5) who is the speaker of the house (6) I forgot the last one. He approved my application, and told me to wait for my oath ceremony letter. Waited about 30 minutes. Oath is scheduled on Oct. 15. God willing!

  2. Still waiting for an interview date. April 8 was when my DH was put in line for scheduling and now it is 8/14 so that is been 127 days. I guess I should go look at April filers to see if anyone from Detroit has gotten their interview dates.

Did you call USCIS recently? I called them last Monday, and the Tier 2 officer I talked to said that I should wait until October to place a service request.
