  1. Hi there,

My husband and I sent in a I-131 about a month after sending in the I-485, and he just had his biometrics last week (before we sent in the I-131). We'll need to travel by late June. So I'm very interested in your situation. Did I understand correctly that you're saying here that you got the AP approved in less than a month? Is this possible? And you received it within 3 months and your wife was able to leave the country?

    Thanks!

  2. Hello! My man and I realized we'll need to travel outside the US by late June/early July. So even though we sent in the I-485 in early February and my husband had his biometrics the other day, we sent in the I-131 recently with a photocopy of the NOAs. We realize he might not get the advanced parole in time, but gotta try!!! I assumed that since USCIS already has all his identification information (photos, passport copy, etc) from his I-485, we didn't have to send that too. So we didn't. But now I'm thinking that was stupid of me to assume this information was not necessary. So, my question: Does anyone know if the identification part of the application is still necessary if you fill out the I-131 after sending the I-485? And if so, will we just get a RFE and then send them back that information (and cross our fingers that everything is processed in less than 3 months)? Or do you think we should send in another application ASAP with all the identification information? Thank you for your insights!

  3. Hi, I realize this thread is from 4 years ago...!... but my fiance may find himself in the same situation. His Canadian company may want him to work remotely for a few months after we marry. He's coming over on a K1 visa. This is not sure yet, just a possibility.

I just want to ensure, with the OP if possible, that this worked out fine. Any updates?

    Thanks so much!

  4. My fiance (French citizen, Canadian permanent resident in Montreal) plans to enter the US this summer for a weekend to attend my cousin's wedding.

When filling out the DS 160, should he add this weekend to the Travel Information section? (as Tourism/Medical Treatment B2)

My understanding is that he should only mention the K1 visa related travel in that section, but honestly I'm quite confused.

    Merci!

  5. Hi, I'd like to open this topic back up again. I'm in the same boat as Benoit and Jess from 2012. My fiance is a French citizen with Canadian permanent residence.

He just received word to send proof of his residency. He was told to "email" the documents to a link on the Consulate of Montreal's site... but the link is only for asking questions, and nowhere can one attach a document.

He lives in Montreal and works right next to the consulate. It seems ridiculous in my mind that he would have to sign up for DHL and drive to Lachine just to send these documents. Plus the letter he received did say to email the documents... with no email address. Can he email them? This thread seems to say no, but then again, 3 years have gone by...

    ####### Montreal????

Can anyone confirm or deny that this Loomis/DHL is his only option?

    Merci beaucoup!
