Just came back to Chicago with EAD/AP. It was pretty smooth. I had to wait for 40 min in the special room and then they gave me my passport and EAD/AP back and I was good to go.

I received NPIW in the mail today.

I will be flying back to Chicago with EAD/AP on March 1.
AP approval notice says to carry it with you when you travel so I would say must have is the passport,EAD/AP card and the AP approval notice.
Also I have i-485 NOA1 and marriage certificate just in case.
I will let you know guys how it went.

We filed in November and today got the "Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case". Time for me to read that thread and get prepared for a long wait!
Has the online status changed???

How many of you guys have had you AoS interviews? Or have at least got interview dates? Can you please let us all know? My status on AoS has been stuck on "Fingerprint fee received" for months now!!
No updates for me since 11/26 . Still in "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" too.
I live in Chicago so I guess this is my local USCIS office.

The I-765 has been approved but no updates for the I-130. The only update is that they received it in November. Is that normal?
Mine was approved few hours after i-765.

Just received my EAD/AP in mail.
Good luck to all remaining November filers. I really hope this week everyone will be approved.

Is here anyone from Chicago who has already received the interview date?

It's much faster to use the direct url
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do?appReceiptNum=MSC
Just add your case number at the end of the url

Just got an update - "Card Was Mailed To Me".
Seems like everyone got the same timeline recently. Here are my observations:
You will be approved on the day 75. Can be few days before or after if that day is Saturday/Sunday.
It takes 5 working days to produce the card and mail it.
I'm expecting to receive my card either tomorrow or on Monday.
PerditaD - I bet you will be approved on Monday!
Good luck everyone!

Just received a response for my inquiry for my EAD. They said that the time got reset because of the RFE. Since they received the response to RFE on 01/06, I have to start counting days from that date. Really sucks.
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it won't be delayed for too long.

AP status just changed to "Case Was Approved" so now everything is ok.
Thanks!
-
It's weird that for me online only EAD status changed to "approved", AP still no changes.
Did you guys get both EAD & AP status updates?
-
Just checked and my EAD is approved and being produced. Finally!
Good luck everyone who hasn't been approved yet!

Hi guys, any updates?
No updates for me either... I have been planning to visit my parents/friends in the end of February and now I'm not so sure it's possible.
If no updates for us by the end of the next week then I guess we should start contacting USCIS.
Good luck everyone!

Applying for jobs and having interviews is totally ok as long as you don't work until you have your EAD.
There is no special visa for job interviews for foreigners, so they would get a tourist/business B1/B2 visa to go to the USA to have an interview with an American company before actually applying for H1-B work visa. (my experience before I moved here).

Congrats everyone!
Few questions:
Was it "Case Was Received" and then changed straight to "Card Was Mailed" ?
Did anybody apply for AP as well?
Did you guys get the interview scheduled already?
Or is it still in "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" status?
Thanks!
-
No news for me too.
This is funny how people have their interviews already scheduled in February which means they will have a GC shortly after the interview.
So what's the point of EAD/AP being processed for so long?
I would better have EAD/AP in 30 days after filing and wait for a GC even for a year.
I feel like it would be so much easier cause you can get a job, ID and start adjusting to your new life.

Hey everyone. Just did my biometrics today in Chicago. It was a very nice experience. Very friendly staff.
Now waiting...

Congrats!
My AP was approved few hours later.
So I would say for sure on the same day.
