Nope you need not be worried. Â They always return the appointment confirmation. Â The guy at window 72 was being lazy, he should have verified the delivery instructions as this is the moment in time they can be changed if needed. Â But there are no worries if the delivery instructions you originally gave are still valid.

    Â

Now for more patience as you wait for final processing then issuance of the visa. Â Could be a couple weeks could be less... no one knows!

    Congrats!! Â

Thanks for the reassurance, Hank! Guess it's waiting game for us. :)

  2. All you can do is wait. She would have been informed if there was any additional documents required...and they kept the passport so that is a good sign. Keep checking status, just remember that the USEM moves much much slower that even a dial-up connections hitting refresh.

    Thank you very much! :)

  3. They didn't ask her for the address where the visa will be delivered?

Nope. But while we were applying for DS-160 online we opted for the passport to be delivered. We also checked ustraveldocs and it says "passport still with post" The same thing goes with the lady before her: The guy returned her appointment letter and told her to go home. I am confused as some have been told to go to the 2GO window at the embassy. Is that case to case basis because my fiance is pregnant so I think they didn't bother asking if we want to pick it up at 2GO or have it delivered. Anyway, we still check CEAC from time to time. Hoping you can shed some light about this. Thank you! :)

  4. Hi, random question! My fiance had her interview yesterday May 6. After her interview with the consul she was told "Ok. We're good. Just wait for your number to be called." When her number was called to window 72 the guy returned her appointment confirmation printout and told her that she can go home. Should we be worried? CEAC status is still "READY" and hasn't been updated since May 6. Thank you! :)

  5. It's alright, as long as you have all the requirements ready by then. Also, your medical should be done soon-ish, as in within the next 2 days.

    Requirements: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/325288/packets/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_updated%2004%20Feb%202014_.pdf

Thanks, sweet cakes! We were too busy yesterday. Did not have time to check VJ. Anyhoo, she's done with here medical today. Hoping for good results tomorrow! :)

  6. When I had my medical, they prioritized the senior citizens and applicants with toddlers (which are also applicants), there is a big chance that pregnant women will also get into this courtesy lane. Do call up SLEC to inquire about this as well for assurance: (+63 2) 521-0020, (+63 2) 521-8647, (+63 2) 523-8248

However, even with this possibility of being prioritized, it's still best to go there around 6am at the latest because the lines for each test become crazy long and SLEC gets excessively crowded as the day goes.

Thanks for the info! Fiance had her medical exam today. Guard told her to tell the first counter that she's pregnant, so she's kinda treated as a senior citizen. hoping for good results tomorrow!

  7. You have your MNL #, and you got it weeks ago, there are no worries about the embassy having your file by interview time.

It is ROCK 'n' ROLL time!! You have your visa fee paid now start watching for an interview date and get scheduled. You can also start the medical and get CFO completed if you choose at this time.

Follow the flashing arrow below for more details...

Thanks, Hank! Currently waiting for the appointment schedule to pop out! This is nerve-wrecking. Praying to get an early slot since fiance is 3 months preggo. Thanks a lot! :)

  8. Hi, how would we know if the USEM has our case? We received a letter from NVC dated April 9 with the MNL number on it so we just followed the instructions. I called the USEM this week about the next step and they told me its up to our discretion if we want to pay for the visa already (so my fiance and I paid it haha). Can anybody enlighten me on this? I saw some profile timelines with "USEM Rcvd" on it and we don't have any idea how to know. :( Thanks in advance!
