  1. Yesterday was the 8 month mark since filing. And for the first time today I was able to submit an e-request online, previously when I tried to do this over the phone or online it would say that I was within normal processing times.

Also, I moved about 10 days ago and submitted a change of address online on the 29th. I got a letter in the mail on the 2nd confirming my new address (that's the fastest thing they've done for me in 8 months!!). Interestingly the letterhead was from VSC, so that also answered the question about where my case was.

Now, if I could just get some resolution to calm both mine and my spouses nerves. Grrrrrrr.

  2. Hey guys, were you able to find out where they transferred your case?

No, and apparently USCIS doesn't know either. The day after I called them about the update to try and get resolution I got another status update that said my spouse's alien reqistration number had been changed. I guess that really doen't mean anything from what I've heard. Regardless I called AGAIN the next day to inquire as to the whereabouts of my file and spoke to yet another tier II rep that knew absolutely nothing. She said that it is "probably" still at VSC so she would send them an email to confirm or have them track it down and that I would get a response "no later than June 6"...almost 8 months to the day since I got NOA1.

I don't even know what to do anymore, I'm at a complete loss. :ranting::shocked::angry::wow:

  3. First, thanks to everyone for the helpful input and after reading everything I had a plan of action for today. But alas, I got a text message from USCIS stating that my case had been updated!! I hoped for good news but this is what I got:

"The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you."

Where is "a USCIS office" located?? I cant help but wonder if this was because of my call yesterday inquiring about my case being outside of stated processing times.

I immediately called CS and asked for Tier 2. After a 47 minute wait they told me they didnt know where my file was and how unusual this was. The rep said he would send an email to Vermont and that they would send me a letter with their response by June 6 then "Thanks for calling and have a good day" CLICK.......

Wat a bunch of BS...I dont know what to do???

  4. This is very frustrating and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or has an idea what is going on.

Filed I-130 as U.S. Citizen for spouse and received NOA1 on Oct. 7

March 11 case was transferred to TSC

May 2 I received notice that case was transferred AGAIN this time to VSC, but online it says it was transferred to "local office" (I live in Omaha). When I called Customer Service the recording says that my case was transferred to Mesquite, TX. I talked to Tier 2 and they said that it was in Vermont with no explanation for the conflicting data.

Also, the USCIS website says that processing times at VSC is 5 months so today I called and tried to make a request since I am over 7 months and the rep started to file the inquiry but couldn't because she said VSC was currently working on cases from Sept. 30!!! Then why does the website say 5 months.

A little background on our case if it helps: Not that it should matter but I will mention that I am filing this for my same sex spouse. He is from Mexico and we have been together 15 years although we were only married 2 years ago. He took a voluntary departure last year to avoid deportation because he had overstayed his original Visa. All this waiting is very hard on both of us, we just want to get the process moving because we know that we still have a long road ahead of us until we are together again.

    Thanks for any input.

  5. Been following along in this forum for several months but this is the first time posting because I'm so frustrated now.

I am so irritated with these people and just wondering if anyone has any input or has experienced similar issues.
