No bashar you dont need to confirm any thing, just go and take the appointment letter with you and show it to the security , by the way i attend with my wife me and my baby, no question ask why or you cant enter, even they not ask me or my baby about our passport or id ?

Im so sorry you are going through this! This is so confusing at this point. they want you to resubmit the police certificate along with the other documents? but isnt it true that the police certificate is no longer required by the embassy and only a non conviction is required as of Nov. 1?!

Tell me about! I don't really know what to think anymore or who to believe, I just stepped away and let my lawyer deal with them...

Hello, I am from Jordan too (the applicant) & my husband is the USC. Looks like all Cases from Jordan are on the same shaky boat! my checklist scan date is Nov. 17 for birth & marriage certificates. Im worried about the non-conviction certificate. my husband will call them tomorrow to ask about it but I'm tempted to obtain one & email it tomorrow anyway. is it possible to inform me what happens with you guys if you hear anything? Now they are telling us that our file is missing the police certificate which does not make any sense. If the lawyer didn't actually send the police certificate why didn't they asked for it in the first checklist with the other two documents they claimed missing?!?!? No further comment.

Since my case was completed before Nov 1st. they did not second checklist my application.

However, I got my non convection certificate ready for the interview here in Amman.

Im so sorry to hear this. I saw your post on the NVC December thread too.

I remember reading one case with similar situation (not from Jordan) in the nvc october or november thread. he kept requesting to talk to a supervisor and was able to convince them to complete his case and provide the remaining document at the interview. keep calling and request a supervisor. Thanks for the info. I remember reading that and that's why I didn't act on it thinking it will only apply to new cases. Obviously who ever reviewed my case today didn't agree that it only applies to new cases. I will try to call and ask for a supervisor.

I wonder if there is any other cases from Jordan with the same situation and if they apply the same rule across all cases or of it depends on the subjective evaluation of the specific reviewer.

I remember...

Someone asked NVC CSR if they need to submit certificate of non-conviction because it's new requirement and the answer was NO and it will only be required for new cases.

Waiting here as well with everyone got a checklist on 10/9 for marriage certificate and responded same day and was given scan date of 10/14. Didn't want to take the risk and emailed the certificate of non-conviction in November (scan date 11/4). Hopefully will hear good news soon.

Send AOS and civil documents : August 14, 2014

First checklist on October 6th, 2014 : asked for two additional documents for the applicant civil documents and sent them back on the same day.

December:

Second checklist (I was told about today on the phone) : they need one additional document, certificate of non-convection, that was never mentioned in the first checklist.

I noticed that on the USA embassy in Jordan website that effective November 1st they r no longer requiring the police certificate (which I already sent with the original documents) and it should be replaced with a non-convection certificate.

As you see they change the required documents through the process.

Obviously, common sence suggest that the new rules should only apply for cases issued after the effective date.. Anyone faced this situation before? And do you think talking to a supervisor might help in conversing them that the rules changed after I already submitted my documents or at least allow me to bring the extra document to the interview.

Anyone had luck with this kinda or similar request before? Just trying to see what people think based on thier experience.

We are the same, I had a checklist on October 3 for marriage certeficate, on December 4 I have another checklist for certificate of non convections.

I wanted to speak to supervisor to ask him to let me bring this certificate at interview specially it wasn't my mistake. Unfortunately, They put on hold for seconds and then said no sopervisor available. (There times trying)

I read this exact same thing from someone else in Jordan a few weeks ago or maybe last month? It was possibly in the NVC thread. Sorry I can't remember the specifics but maybe someone here remembers where it was/who the user was? I can try a search later.

Look at igore list from immigration timelines... you have the option to look at all applications (approved/waiting for approval) by visa type and service center.

I also just received the long waited msg/text from USCIS.... My I-130 is finally approved HORRAY! up to the next stage..... (VSC with NOA1 January 20, 2014).

According to what I read you need to get a police certificate from each country you lived in for more than 6 months since the age of 16 years old.

I checked online AT LEAST 10 times today, then at about 7p (MTN Time) I got the email saying approved. Just checked online and it is in "Post Decision Activity".

I'll probably look at it at least 15 times tomorrow!!

You can also ask your husband to ask the immigration officer inside to give you a call if there is any un-anticipated delay or issues.

Hello, I am preparing to organize tax transcripts of 2011, 2012 and 2013 for NVC while I am waiting for I-130 approval. The martial status on my recent tax transcript (2013), that I downloaded from IRS website, still shows single since my tax accountant amended my tax return from single to married filing separately (also, "NRA" on my spouse's ssn line) before April 15th and owed IRS. They already cashed my check (I owed IRS).

Questions,

1) Does IRS cashing my check mean that my amended return is approved by IRS?

2) should i go to the local IRS office to correct the martial status and get another transcript that should show "married" martial status?

2) Is it okay to send the copy of my tax returns (1040) and copy of amened tax returns (1040X) with w2 along the transcripts togther to NVC?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

I been through the same.. they cashed my check but the actual 1040X is still in process.

The current IRS transcripts will not show a change in filling status from single.. they received our 1040X but still did not process it...they only cashed the check

1) I think they automatically cash the check -- my IRS status show a credit of the same amount the check was written for

2) I don't think it will help to contact the IRS local office.... there website say that they have a lot of request for amendment and for that reason we should expect our 1040X processing to take some time (from 8 - 12 weeks). the IRS website have a page where you can check the status of your amendment application.

3) if you get to the stage of submitting your tax Info to NVC before your amended return is processed... then yes, I think its okay to submit a copy of the 1040X amended return with the W2 for that year with the original un-amended tax transcript to establish that you submitted your amendment and its still under process at IRS.

K3 is different than K1... but the same form # is used (I-129F).. there is a place in the form where the petitioner needs to indicate that the filed I-129f is linked to bending I-130 and the purpose of this is K3 visa for a spouse.
