  1. Thanks_ES_USA..Wow 2019!!!thats long! even though my mom is a citizen? I heard the wait is shorter wen the petitioner is a citizen

    The time used to be shorter for US citizens but now F2B Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 years of age or older) of Permanent Residents is moving much faster then f1 because just like you...many applied as F2B and the parents becomes citizen and category automatic changes to F1.

    If you can convert back to F2b and wait to see which category moves faster on the near future.

    Good luck.

  2. Congrats mfelix,F1BR and Rahulbaty !!! :D

    Just adding my congratulations to all receiving interview letters. Must be a huge relief knowing that the end is nearly in sight. You could be "home" for Christmas! :dancing:

    So I think we're looking a two weeks movement so far?

    Does anyone know how soon (before the anticipated visa availability) petitioners and beneficiaries are contacted for choice of agent and other paperwork?

    Congrats people for your Interviews!!

    Baileys. NVC generally approach applicants when their cases about to get current within 6-7 months. It seems that you might receive first paper in upcoming 4-5 months according to the current speed of bulletin.

    Thank you guys! :dancing::D

    It seems that NVC is taking their time to schedule the interviews. Its dead silent for the family based members.

  5. My visa was issued today, and I received both my passport and packet. I've already purchased my plane ticket! Thank you all for the support you all shown me, and the guidance to get me through this lengthy process. It was a long and frustrating journey, however you all made it bearable with positive thinking and the information on timeline. I'm not leaving you guys, I will be here to help motive, encourage and must importantly to provide feedback and guidance.

    Thank you all!

    Congratulations!! The visa process is very frustrating but at the end is worthwhile. I wish you all the best starting your life in the US.
