  1. Just to be clear this is for vacation so traveling out of states and then back in. For me thought I would ask before we start making plans, yes I know that it would be rare but more people are being deported for minimal things she has no record but there has been many ICe events in the news even with card holders. I don't one to be one of the ones in the news and family separated is all.

  2. Hi All ,

Are any 10yr green card holders having problems returning to States ? My wife is from Guatemala and we have traveled several times since marries in last 5 yrs but not since Trump took over since we had a daughter who is now 20 months. We were thinking to travel late this year to her country to see family but I'm concerned on our return.

    Let me know your thoughts

    Thanks much

    Jack

  3. Thanks both of you

Reqarding evidence yes of course and i have been reading through the threads. As far as requirements wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something, since it is really only my wife's greencard. I thought about copying the drivers licenses but they are both old addresses which are the same from 2 addresses ago. We just moved to a rental house . the addresses are from when we lived with her mom for 6 months. We didn't change them when we moved to a apartment for a few years. I am screen shotting facebook pics showing date stamps etc. I also think that we have been on 3 trips together outside the country, 2 to guatemala, got married religiously in guatemala , went to belize for our honeymoon, came back and then went to meet her Dad, brother and sister in Chile plus the other evidence we will have should be suffecient. I will post a list for coverpage next few days

    Thanks for the help

  4. Hi All ,

Thought I posted this last night but guess not. I wanted to verify the only documentation required is my wife's greencard and the i-751. The other stuff is just proof. I didn't see any requirements for me that i needed to show id or anything I guess since I orignally did it we don't have so much to prove now. I copied both our passports pics anyway and all the visas for different countries we have been in together

Just wanted to verify.. the only requirement is the greencard. I saw nothing else that we had to provide that was a requirement.

    Thanks

    Jack

  5. Hi all,

From what I can tell only requirements is to take copies from and back of my wife's greencard. What about my identification anything ? I copied both our passports but that does not even seem as a requirement. Copied the visa stamps of different countries we have been in last 2 yrs, Guatemala twice, Belize and Chile.

Is it me but there isn't much requirements except green card copies and fill out form, then whatever proof you want.

    thanks

    Jack

  6. Hi All ,

My wife now has her green card and has had it since August after us getting married here in states while she was on tourist visa here. Her mom is a Us citizen and started the process for my wife to get a green card 8 years ago. My wife received a email few days ago from US immigration that she is scheduled for a interview in Guatemala in late December.

What course of action would you take ?

    ignore ?

tell them she is no longer interested ?

tell them she has a green card after marrying me and therefore is no longer needed ?

I am sure there are situations like this that have happened .. we just didn't expect the date to come so soon we expected another year or 2 and is why we decided to get married here. Us marrying here was never palnned and in fact she still has unfinished business with her personal belongings and property in Guatemala and is why we are going back in December. Will we have problems with this date scheduled and our re-entry back into the US in mid January if we ignore it ?

    Thanks

    Jack

  7. Hey All ,

So we have our interview for 8/14/14. I was looking on the checklist of things we need and it said all the paperwork that immigration has sent us. We are living with her mom in a apartment and the first NOAs were returned because it had our name on the paperwork and post man didnt know we were living there. so I changed addresses with immigration to my po box and hadn't had a problem since, we have received everything. We do have a few of the first Noas maybe 2 since they were resent to my po box but are missing the others. I will try and request copies to be sent but my questions is will it be a problem if we do not have them ?

    Thanks

  8. Hi All,

The status regarding my EAD yes is what we got card production and mailed but no tracking number and that is what concerns me. We called USCIS yesterday and firt tier said it was approved based on our online info which i already knew. I asked for tracking number and he said I would need to get you to a officer so was transferred to second tier officer... omg wait was more than 2 hours !!!! Then he said it was not approved and not in production . So not sure who to believe.

  9. Hi All,

I was reading on people expediting their EADs but i think people have more luck getting their Senator involved. My wife has lots of job offers but can't take nothing while we wait for the EAD. We are in a hard situation and like many of you get tired of waiting and start our life. I think I am just going to talk to my senator and take action. We are at financial loss situation and need help which I have never asked for the governments help before. I am a person that does everything on my own.

    Please advise your experiences

    Thanks

  10. Has anyone received EAD without tracking number ? Reason why I ask is below. We got a update that it shipped but no tracking number

    "Card/ Document Production

On May 13, 2014 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

  11. Hi All,

    Update

    Card/ Document Production

On May 13, 2014 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

We got this update the day before our biometrics which was completed successfully on May 14th.

Question - Does this mean card is in production or they actually mailed it, we went from initial review to Card/Document production status and the noted saying they mailed it on the 13th. do they usually give a tracking number ?

    Please advise

    Thanks all

  12. Morning all,

We got out bio metrics appointment letter on Saturday For 5/15/2014 by mail. We received the text msgs and email for all 4 forms approved few weeks ago. We have not received hard copy of Noa's yet. I think it's strange to receive the biometrics but not the hard copy of the NOA's in the mail. Should I be concerned ?

also I have the msc numbers from the text msgs and email. Are these my receipt numbers ?

    thanks much
