Hi sandra.one of my friend had her I485 interview and she said that the officer told her that she is approved and should receive her greencard in the mail with a few weeks she said the next day she got an email saying that they reopened the case and are reviewing their earlier decision do u know what this could mean.

hi guys I received email on july 23rd that my i485 was transferred to Local office today in the mail I got the letter that sais :

" this is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing:

uscis -NBC lee's summit MO 64064"

I gues my case went to NBC

my question is is it normal that I still didn't get my EAD approved ? but the case already in NBC!?!?

I am not pessimistic. I am just realistic.Here what the letter the IO gave me says"USCIS is not able to complete ur case at this time.Your case is being continued till final decision is taken. Reason for continuance(3 options and IO clicked on this one):your case is held for review.You will receive a notice from us if we need more documents, need to reschedule u for another interview or if we made final decision on ur case"

This is summary not exact words. The IO asked a lot about my previous work before I got EAC and he asked exact dates which I replied honestly and all of this info where already written in my biometric form and waiver fee form to ask for fee waiver. He did not ask why I worked without work permission .He just verified what I previously wrote then made his decision to give me this useless paper.

I tried to ask him if he can stamp my passport so I can know that I am approved but he refused completely and he said this is for security reasons(non-sense...right?)

Usually if u travel u need a stamp in ur passport plus ur green card to re-enter the states and also to attach green card with ur new passport which he refused to stamp.He said that if they send denial letter I need to respond in 30 days only otherwise I have no case.It does not make sense to me that USCIS after 3 years of reviewing my case in all their centers and asking for every kind of document u can think of or u cannot think of..They know now about me more than I know about myself by far and now they are saying they cannot reach decision?????????does this make any sense?????

If they want to approve me they will approve me on spot in the interview,stamp my passport and tell me to wait for green card after 2-3 weeks like every body else.The worst scenario was to ask me in interview for more papers to send afterwards so they can approve my case or ask me why I worked without authorization or anything they found wrong in my case to ask me to explain but this never happened.The only explanation that they already denied my case before even I go to interview and IO confirmed this in the interview but they do not want me to faint in the office so they allow me to go home so they can send denial.

Hi mongogal my case was approved sept 20 but i did my i485 Dec because i had surgery vsc received my application Dec 18th

Well I live in new york anf my attorney says anywhere from 5 to 6 momths she did say it is taking some time

Hi guys I am trying to help out a friend here .his vawa got approved 2 weeks abd he was packing up to leave and he found a arrest paper he was arrested for shoplifting in june 2012 the case was dismissed and he paid fine and did community service for one day he was charged with petit larceny dismiss acod now he submitted all three applications and put no for arrest he said he could not remember he was arrested. He call his attorney today and he said to him take the citificate of disposition to the interview .he's worried sick whats going to happen to him now .does anyone ever heard of any situation like this before or suggest what he can do now ?

U have to look on the bright side at least u did not get denied they ask for something that was missing just be patient and wait for the mail.

Thats y u join rite to get support from people u will be fine its a long journey.

Thats alot don't its probably something small because when I got rfe for my ead I was going crazy until I got it and they were asking y I need another ead the current one from my marriage is still valid.u will be ok just hang in there ask sandranj to guide u and for help when u received the rfe

Hi everyone I woke up this morning and got a text 6 am uscis approved my 1360 I can't stop crying I apply December it took three and a half months with no rfe one rfe for ead which I'm still waiting can someone tell whats going to happen next.

Hi everyone does uscis takes exactly 60 days for an ead decision they already received my rfe back on my ead 30 days now and nothing feeling very depressed:(

Does prima facie means u have uscis is satisfied with the document that they recieved from a vawa appiclant?

Hi sandranj I am new to this and I have been reading ur advice u are an angel send from god.i apply for vawa on the 17 of december and I got receipt for all three application and also a prima facie .I did not get rfe on the 1360 but I got rfe for my employment authorization they were asking me y do I need another work permit I alreday have one through my marriage which I withdrew and its still valid and uscis already got my rfe back and no news yet can u tell what they might do next please thank u.
