Hello everyone!
I'd like to hear your opinion on the next topic, to make a long story short, my sister who lives in Texas has sponsored our mother for AOS based on family relationship grounds.
This was submitted July of 2017, fast forward a year, they had together the Green Card AOS interview and everything went fine
Except that the I-693 medical examination had already passed 1 year of date, so they told my mother to do submit another medical examination from the immigration physical
because a year had already passed.
My concern in, we did again the medical immigration exam, but on the form I - 693 my mom wrote down my FL address since she is now living with me
and no longer with my sister, when they submitted everything last year, my mom and my sister put everything under the Texas address
do you think this would create an issue ? should I make my mom file for change of address ? thanks!

Ribs and Beans... It would be better for the wife to petition because illegal work is more apt to be forgiven for a spouse than a parent. Also they will look really hard at the whole thing and why the wife isn't petitioning .
KM2014 Is your cousin married or has kids ? Has she petitioned or sponsored anyone else?

I was going to ask a similar question regarding this topic...my cousin is sponsoring her parents who already live in the US, she wants also to be the economic affidaivit for both of them, she hasn't filed her tax return yet, but on her last paystub of 2014 she made around 26K, would that be enough??
Also her parents are officially divorced in the US, would she need to translate their original marriage certificate of their country of origin?

Hello, recently my cousin has become a USC and lives in Denver, CO, and her parents live in Atlanta, GA..she was wondering when the sponsoring goes through, does her parents need to go to Denver if an interview is issued? is there an interview at all usually?? or will my cousin need to travel to Atlanta?? thank you!

So, to those who have already received your 10-years Permanent resident card, when you guys got your 2-year conditional one, you had to have an affidavit for financial support and if your spouse did not meet the criteria, some relative/friend/employee could sign the affidavit for you and therefore was responsible financially for you. When you become a 10-year resident and have an income of let's say. 21K a year, are those persons who sign to be your affidavit still responsible for you? thanks !

Hello guys! i've been reading this topic since the beginning, but didn't write anything because simply couldn't remember my old login.. But couldn't resist today, since i got an email with this amazing sentence in it - "On July 17, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you."
I filed on Feb 14, they recieved it on Feb 17, i got my NOA on Feb 20, biometrics on March 21.. and now approved. Which is kind of surprise, because i was expecting an RFE.. We have very little evidence.. No bank accounts together, no bills, no affidavits, no vehicles in both names.. We only sent in tax returns, joint leases (the last one was expired and i didn't notice it till after i had sent the documents), and our daughter's birth certificate.. Also pictures, few cards and pretty much that's it..
so, i guess i'm the first one approved at VSC!

Is VSC really that backed up? Or has no one updated?
I mean, I'm not telling anyone on how to do their job, but how is it possible they could be sooo backed up ? VSC HAS already approved MAY filers for God's sake!! and here VSC has still yet to approve some december cases, im sorry if I sound frustrated, but it's starting to get on me this waiting game.
