Have you heard anything? Same thing happened to my case.
-
What happened with your case? Exact same thing happened to me. Approval on 11 June.
-
Phone number is 202-663-1225 . Press 1 then 0. DOS is Department of State and they can check to see if your case has been received by NVC. DOS is easy to talk with since the waiting is around 3 minutes.
"You have reached a non working number at the Department of State"

I spoke with NVC today after about 70 calls they answered. Waited 37 minutes on hold and a woman came on and told me they have no info on my case and to email my case number to nvcresearch@state.gov My approval is dated 11 June 2014.

I just got through. Took about 8 pages of redials on my phone, probably 70+ calls. Now I am on hold!

Your time line says you filed a K-1, this thread is for I-130 filers at NVC.

Hello all.
I received my NOA2 I-797 on 11 June 2014. I have not received any communication from the NVC. Is it correct I cannot call until I have a case number with them?
Thanks in advance.

ok - a Tier 2 human can tell you
exactly where it was transferred to.
Thank you. I spoke with a tier 2 person today and they informed me my case was in Texas and encouraged I email them as they are only giving generic replies to my requests for action.
I am sending an email now with more flight info, photos, etc. Hopefully it will get through.

casefile is in Houston? are you sure?
Actually, No. I am not sure why I believed that. It is possible when I went for my INFOPASS appointment they told me that it was in Texas though so it is possible.
This is the text of the communication I received when it was transferred.
On July 10, 2013, we transferred this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.
If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an App
licatio
n Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

I cannot think of anything. I had a background check done on myself and it came back with nothing. Met my fiancee during a J1 summer work & travel program. I have visited her every few moths overseas since. Seems like a basic case. Should I look into family members criminal records?
- Was there anything unusal about your case? Perhaps the last name may have thrown a flag.

Hello all,
I am contemplating travelling to Houston (where my case was transferred) in an effort to speak with someone regarding my case. I am at 11 months now (Notice of receipt: 2013-04-18) with no information given whatsoever, case status still under initial review.
If there is a problem with my case I feel like I should at least be aware of what it is and have the opportunity to address it. I tried to speak with someone at the local office in Charleston, SC but they were surprisingly unprofessional and condescending. The office basically told me he had no more information than I had and I was wasting my time inquiring about my case.
Does anyone here have any experience with a similar situation?
Thanks in advance.

Posted
Embassy in Moscow, Russia.
I sent a statement via email a few minutes after my fiance's interview regarding why my income fluctuates (Own a business, 2013 Invested a lot in new location). 2014, making more profit.
Anyone have any idea how long it will take for them to process this?
Thanks.
