  2. Perhaps USCIS made an error and wrote to you that your conditional green card status is coincident with the date your visa is granted. I don't think it is.

If I were you, I would go by the expiration date on the green card then count 90 days backwards. That would be the date when you can file for ROC. So around October 24, 2016 and not sometime in September 2016.

Thank you for the help and bringing this to my attention. I believe that's when I will send my stuff because even if USCIS is going by 12/17/2014, I will still be within 90 days window. The date should be 01/24/2017 though. Thanks again.

  3. Based on your POE date, isn't October 24, 2016 the earliest date you could file for ROC? So you wouldn't be among September 2016 filers?

Yes this is very important. even if you send one day early than your earliest filing date ,your package will be returned.check your earliest filing date using uscis filing date calculator.

Yes, I agree with both of you. However, the letter I received from USCIS states that "Our records indicate that you entered the United States as a conditional permanent resident on 12/17/2014. You must file Form I 751 within 90 days prior to the second anniversary of the date you were granted CPR status.

I think granted CPR status is the key word because I did receive my CR1 visa on 12/17/2014.

  4. I will be filing jointly with my husband to remove conditions on my green card. Who will be the petitioner in this case? Is it me or my USC spouse? This is what I am planning on including in my package:

  6. Hello all,

I751 instructions form states that "Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been

married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise
directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many
children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless
    otherwise directed"
While I try to print N/A or None, the field gives an error. Please help with this!
    Thank you!
  7. i have my interveiw on 14 july i want to knw is it necessary to get financial documents of my spouse as well as joint sponser to show at the time of interveiw.

Did you get your interview letter yet? It should state there if you need Affidavit of Support documents of your spouse and joint sponsor at the time of interview. For my wife case, I sent original Affidavit of Support and supporting documents to NVC and they forwarded it to embassy. My wife took copy of Affidavit of Support and supporting documents to embassy with her as well just in case if they asked for it.

    I hope it helps.

The US Embassy in ISB is currently unable to print visas, so that might make the delay a little longer?

Yes, if that's the case then issuing of visa can be little delayed after being approved at embassy.

  8. Interview letter receive by email or mail ?

and at this stage ,Shall I take medical appointment by end of April?

It was received by email. If NVC has your email, then interview letter will be emailed but do not expect to receive an interview letter with an interview date until first week of May.

Wait till you receive an interview letter. You will have to bring interview letter to the medical appointment.

You can set up an appointment for your medical only after receiving an interview letter with an interview date because you need to show an interview letter at your medical appointment

Yes, there are approved physicians who can perform the medical for immigration purposes. In Karachi, only one location is certified to perform the medical for immigration purpose:

    KARACHI

    Dr. Mohammad Naeem ul Haque

    Room No. F-11, 1

st Floor, Hill Park General Hospital, near Hill Park, Shaheed-e-Millat Road

    Karachi

    Phone: 0333-300-3822, 0333-222-8186,

    021-3452-1265, 021-3439-1141-44

    Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday

    From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If you try to go to some other place for medical, embassy will not accept it at all.

    Good luck!

  11. Congratulations to all visa approvals, interview dates and case completes.

Haven't been here for a while. My wife arrived in the states on January 24th and she is loving it.

We still haven't received her Green Card. Called USCIS yesterday and talked to the Rep. he mentioned that they are still awaiting for the paperwork to come from her POE which was JFK, NY. Is this common? It's been a month and JFK still hasn't forwarded her biometrics to USCIS, I find it little strange.

Also POE officer didn't ask to see my wife's vaccination record and X-ray CD from her medical exam at POE.

USCIS told me that if my wife doesn't receive her Green Card by end of March then I should call them again.

I wanted to see if anyone has experienced that or has any input regarding this matter.

    Thanks.

  12. I have a question. Wat us the website where you have to pay after you get visa in hand before traveling to america? And also can my husband travel the next day after getting visa in hand?

Here is the website for green card production fee:

    http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis

Your husband can definitely travel the next day after getting visa in hand.

Just make sure your husband pay the green card fee before leaving Pakistan so this way there are no delays in his green card.

    Good luck!
