  1. Hi Folks, I know most of you have been through it so I would appreciate your help. While I am waiting for I130 to be approved I would like to be prepared for all possible paper work.

My Question is what kind of Affidavid of Support should I prepare. I notice on USCIS website there different kinds of them. Could anyone possible to give me a link or exact name for it.

Thank you in advance for making my journey easier!

  2. USCIS in chicago lockbox received my parent I130 on Jan 12, 09 but i haven't get receipt notice yet. I wonder how long does it take for you guys to get it? also another question I'm recently became US citizen when i filled out the form I130 petition for my parent I just realised that I left a blank on question 14(If you are a lawful permanent resident alien, complete the following:) and 14 b (Did you gain permanent resident status through marriage to a

U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident?) I'm US citizen now do i still need to answer those question? are they gonna denied and send application back to me?

    thank you

    very appriciated

I had the same issue, I have certified mail return delivery date as for November 14th but did not get NOA1, called USCIS in 30 days and got Receipt numbers over the phone, found at USCIS web site that cases received on 21 of November and cases were trasnfered to CSC.

I figured out that I do not need actual notices since I have numbers.... But I would care abour NOA2 of course...

My suggestioni is just to call in 30 days and ask for status and number and explain that 30 day passed and you did not get any notices from USCIS.

  3. i submited in october and i get response in dec 27 i guess you have to wait for another month or so.

Thank you honda99, at least it gives more hope, it sounds much better then 6 months as posted at USCIS website. Are you in California CS? And how things are going after i130 approval?

    Thanks again!

I am a U S Citizen who lives in Ohio and is filing for my mother who lives in Jamaica now.

I file the I-130 and sent it in to the chicago Lockbox and they received it on 09/15/2008

On 09/18/2008 received a Notice date letter from CSC with my receipt number so I can check the status of my case. And ever since I received that letter in September of 2008 I have not heard or received anything back from the CSC.

I would like to know how much longer do I have to wait for my next reply, and is their anyone else out there filing the same form for their mother who is in Jamaica or close to that location. I would like to compare and see why mind is taking so long would it have to do with where I live ( Ohio) or not, some people who filed in CSC gets approved in a month or two, what's up with that.

Also how much is the filing fee for I-864 Affidated of Support that I will have to pay and NVC fee, together an stimate of how much together in all will I have to pay, if anyone knows and can truly help me.

Looks like you are very close, I see people who sent in their i130s in the beginning of September getting approved by CSC.

As for total expenses for I believe whole charges from NVC will be 400+70 USD.

    Thank you for your input!

  4. Hi Folks!

I wonder how many people who sent their I-130s in November 2008 are there? If each of us give new updates about processing their application(s) it would be just great. Please feel free to say all your processing time info, your feelings and whatever you want to help others to be more comfortable with what to expect!

Hope it is going to be last dealing with USCIS for all of us!

    :star:

  5. Hi guys I am about to get my citezenship  and I want to bring my parents to US. can you help me to get links suggestions and anything which could help me to be informed about the process. I have read I-130 explaination but I would like to know more details.

    Thanks for your help

Congrads on your citezenship!!! My mom just got her visa and i am leaving in 1 week to pack her bags.

The instructions for I-130 explain everything you need to know very well. You have to file I-130 for each parent - so you will need 2 of them. It will be about 6 month for INS to aproove it. I dont think you can change the prosesing time in INS, but once your case gets to NVC you can do sertan things to make things quicker.

First of all have your parents apoint you as an agent in DS-3032. My mom email them insted of mailing it it and this form got into the sustem 2 weeks earlier then it would if she would mail it. You have to comlplite paperwork step by step and they dont let you do all in the same time. You have to mail them one thing for you to get to the next. SO, research it well and know what is the next step to come. You are being an agent for your parents will save you time on Immigrant Visa fee bill that will be sent to you not to your parents - you can pay it here and mail it back quick. Make sure get all of the things you need for I-864( read instructions). Fill out and mail your parents 2 DS-230s for them to sign and mail back to you way before you need it. It would be easier for you to fill out the info since your parents probably not very good in english.( last step at NVC) Read instructions!!! Make your parents get second original birth, marriage, death sertificate from ZAKS( for all of the marrieges they ever had). NVC will ask for the original not a notorised copies...Dont forget about police sertificates! Also, make them translate and notorize everything they mail to you. So, they will have to mail original + notorized and translated copies. SO, if you will get all of these things before NVC ask for it you will not have to waist your time and wait for them when you need them. I think this is it. if you have question down the road - please feel free to ask. i had people helping me when i was doing it and it did make the difference. Good luck!!!

    Lena

    Thank you Lena!

It is a new animal for me now but it got more clearer, do you know where I can get step by step process outline?

    Thank you again,

  6. Hey guys! Can I complain here, it is going to be my 7th month for N400 process and I still did not get IL. I wonder if I am the only one who did get Interview Letter yet. I tried to call several times but they keep telling me tha my case is in the normal processing time frame. It is ugly!

  7. My application number is WSC* (followed by 9 digits). Does anyone else have an asterix in their number? I can't pull the online status up. It is not recognized if I use the * and if I dont, there are not enough digits.

I filed about 3 months ago, so it is possible that the website is not updated with my case yet. Although I did do my finger prints about 6 weeks ago.

Mine was up on-line at USCIS website right after I got fingerprints. But now I have other problem they do not give get into my portfolio. I am getting error that User ID or Password is wrong. I was using it for a long time I would never forget it  Have fun with USCIS, you never know what expect!

  8. i received a receipt for n400 processing. however, i have been unable to track the case. i got the error "Case Status Retrieval Failed." Is that normal or something may be wrong? Has anyone had that before?

I had the same problem but after I was done with fingerprints system was updated in the same date, and I had * in receipt number also, So you should be all right it is just how it is working now
