My Question this time is easy.

On my Interview notice it says I need to bring a Government issued ID. Does this mean I can bring my German Passport or EAD-Card or do I have to have a Michigan ID or Drivers Licence?

I didnt want to make a drivers lincence since it would only be valid as long as my EAD-Card.

But I would like to hear some expieriences on that...

I am sooooo irritated right now!!! I just got a RFE TODAY, when i actualy filed at the beginning of october... and the rfe is about my name!

It pretty much says that they are confused about my legal name because i filled all the documents out in my married name (because thats how i was supposed to do it right????) so now they want me to send my marriage certificate (which i of course already did with the forms...) and also a sworn affidavit that states my maiden and married names and all my used aliases (which are none). Had anyone of you had this rfe? i just dont understand... i thought everybody who files through a k1 visa files for the greencard with the married name right?

It seems like for us everything takes a little bit longer than for other people... we sent our aos package to chicago October 3rd, usps said it got there October 8th but in our NOA1 it said they recieved our case October 14th... So than we got the Biometrics Apointment Letter at the beginning of November, scheduled for November 20th, since than Nothing.... Our AOS Case says ready to schedule an Interview since a month now, no Interview Letter... I am getting so frustrated, I had a emotional breakdown at the secretary of state today because apparently none of my informations are in their system... so i just started crying like a little baby lol. Also I am unable to sign in a account on the casestatus check site... I can create one but than not log in... Does anybody has any advice for me at all, other than waiting? I really need to start working

Heya mate, yeh maybe, however the Chicago lockbox collects AOS from all over, it wouldn't matter I don't think that its because we are from the grand rapids area. My package arrived at the lockbox on October 12th, so you lt me know if u hear anything

Creag06, EXACT same situation here, according to usps our package arrived at the chicago lockbox October 10th, I did not hear one word from them since than... I just called my bank and the check wasnt checked yet either... I noticed that you live in the Grand Rapids Area too, do you think it could have something to do with that??

OMG i just saw that i answered that question wrong! i said yes because somebody petitioned for a H3 visa for me once... but thats not a immigration visa either... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW???

I have following situation:

In July I overstayed a ESTA VWP 10 days.

Our K1-petition got approved last month and I just filled out and submitted the DS-160.

Of course, I truthfully answered the question about the overstay. Now an hour after I submitted the form, I got a email from Esta, saying my status changed and I should check my Status. They now changed it to "Not authorised to travel into US". Is that a normal step, what they always do when you submit DS-160? Or didnt they even realise, that I overstayed and now they changed it because I told them? Is that even possible, that they checked the ds160 this quick and already made changes with the esta because of that?

Of course, I am scared now, that they will deny the visa because of that...

Has anybody expieriences with a case like that?
