Hi guys! I have a quick question.
I have my Green Card Interview in 2 weeks. I came to US on a K1 fiancee visa. In the USCIS notice regarding the interview, they ask me to bring form I-693 (medical examination).
I think it does not apply to my case, I had my med exam less than a year ago. I did not do it when I applied for AOS for the same reason, I just sent my vaccination record, and did not get any REF.
I read the instructions to the form and as far as I understand I don't need to do med exam http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-693instr.pdf
Can someone share there experience in the same situation?
Thanks very much!
I had my AOS interview last week. I prepared all the documents and photos to prove our bonafide marriage but the IO never looked at it. She just asked the questions written in I-485 Form. About the I-693, I only sent DS-3025 when i filed my AOS and attached page 4,#7-c of I-485 since my Medical Exam is less than a year.. no RFE. I never went to a Civil Surgeon before the interview since my Medical Exam is still valid. The IO just checked the my DS-3025 in her file (date & completeness). It's only a 5 minute interview for me.
Received the Welcome Letter this week & waiting for the GC

5 minute interview with the IO. She just asked the things written in the I-485 Form.
It was so fast & she never even looked at the documents and photos that we prepared.
She told us that K1 is an easy case and we need to wait 2 weeks for the GC.
Waiting mode again...

Hi fellow January 2015 AOS Filers.
Sent our I-485 packet on Jan. 12,2015 and i'm done with Biometrics today,
Feb.10 at Naperville. I arrived 30 mins earlier and it took only less than 10 minutes
to do the Biometrics.

You should visit the website of the US Embassy where your fiancee will be interviewed.
The list of documents for K1 interview are listed there.
I-134 Affidavit of Support and supporting documents are also needed.
Make sure to check all the documents needed and bring the Appointment Confirmation.

We received an RFE last June 2014: Proof of Intent to Marry. We already submitted the Letter of Intent to Marry when my fiance (petitioner) submitted the I-129F packet. But for the RFE reply, we both sent again a Letter of Intent to Marry (w/ original signature) and a Letter from the Priest who will initiate our Church Wedding. We received the NOA2 after a few weeks
Try to read also the RFE Masterlist in this forum.

Cheers! Will pay the visa today & schedule the interview. Keep us updated. Godbless
just an update for everyone of us!
We got Interview Approved!

Congrats fellow K1 April filer. Keep us posted?
A brief update on our case. She had the interview July 15, and although she was one of the last to get interviewed before lunch her interview was soo easy and relaxed and visa approved! Perfect timing getting the interview that day too since July 16 the embassy was closed. Her status went immediately to AP, and on July 18 went to ISSUED. Timing again coz shortly after her visa was issued was when the computer glitch happened delaying visa processing! The following Tuesday afternoon, right when we're about to check her status, she gets a text from 2Go that her visa is ready for pickup! So we spend about 4 hours going to MOA just to get her visa (so traffic in Manila). Next day, we go back to CFO to get her sticker. We thought this was gonna be quick, but no...we waited over an hour there at CFO (both of us in separate waiting areas). Eventually she got it. When we arrived back to her place we booked our flight back to the US. Our flight left July 25, and her POE was at LA the same day. POE was very easy, we both went through the US citizen line. Gave the officer her packet and passport, he asked her some questions, flipped through her packet, stamped the packet and her passport and said congratulations on your upcoming wedding. And that was it! We had an overnight flight back to Iowa, arrived back to our place about 9am July 26. So tired we were! We just both collapsed and slept till late afternoon!
Well, fiancée has been here over a week now! She is adjusting slowly, and we are so happy together. Introduced her to Netflix, she loves it! Although she only watches maybe one movie a day. She loves the faster internet here as well. She spends a lot of time doing things around the house, and I found out she is a very good cook. Every meal has rice lol. A few days ago she got brave and started to take walks around the neighborhood. Last night, she baked cookies for the first time. They were so good! She wants to learn how to bake and start baking kind of as a hobby since she won't be able to work for a while. Also trying to get her interested in other things as well, so she's not completely bored at home.

My case status online still says:
Request for Evidence
On June 7, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
And I have a question too, for those guys who know, withing how much time USCIS will change our case status to (Request For Evidence Response Review)???? We sent them back Divorce Certificate which they need-June 18th by (2 days)express mail, the tracking number says it delivered yesterday! So My question is when they notify us that they got our papers?!!!
Thanks
My fiance submitted our RFE reply on June 19 by Priority Mail-1 Day. Based from tracking,CSC received it on June 20 around 11am. Early of June 21 (Sat), my fiance received an email and text message from USCIS stating they received our RFE reply and USCIS website case status says: Request for Evidence Response Review
Hoping for NOA2 soon

I am planning to send in my petition next month. A couple of questions for you....
1) Any tips on what I should do to prevent them from sending me RFEs? I want to go from NOA 1 to NOA 2. I don't want them to be sending me RFEs.
2) Did you have like an engagement cermony? If not what type of materials did you submit to proof that you and your fiancee are indeed engaged.
Thank you so much in advance.
Welcome to the VJ Community!
1) You can read the RFE Masterlist to give you an idea of the common RFE's during I-129F Petition.
Nobody wants to receive an RFE because it means additional time to the process. We checked everything,
submitted the required documents, properly filled out the forms,we met w/in 2 years, we are both legal & able to
to marry, followed the VJ procedures and advice from fellow VJ filers just to make sure no RFE during the
process.. BUT we still received a Request for Evidence when in fact we
we submitted already the documents that they are asking for. So we sent the requested documents again and
waiting for the Decision. RFE is not a denial, but a chance to provide documents needed by the adjudicator
before NOA2 Approval.
2). We dont have an engagement ceremony. We just submitted pictures when my fiance proposed to me.
You will learn alot in this forum. All the best in your application.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the hard copy of the RFE to be mailed to the petitioner. We received an email on Friday, 13 June letting us know they required more information and to wait for the letter. As yet, we have not received the letter.....fingers tapping...any information would be most appreciated.
Based from experience, after 5 business days we received the RFE hard copy. Your fiance might get it
today in the mailbox.
Goodluck.

I have exactly same RFE. And I don't even have a Priest, because we are just planning to go to the court house and have very small wedding. I am just planning to write a more detailed letter of intend.
And we almost have the same timeline
Goodluck!

Be sure to include signed originals, not scans or photocopies.
Thank You
Yes did that when we submitted the I-129F Packet. We will submit again w/ original signatures.
Blank ink or blue ink it doesnt matter right? We used blank ink before.

Good day fellow April 2014 Filers. Congrats to all NOA2 and Visa Approval!!
We received the RFE letter today:
=====================================================================================
Intent to Marry: Submit evidence from the beneficiary that she plans to marry the petitioner within 90 days
of the beneficiary`s admission in the United States.
Evidence of the beneciary`s intent maybe a statement, wedding preparations or other evidence
that clearly establishes the couple`s intent to marry.
======================================================================================
We submitted the Letter of Intent to Marry when we filed for I-129F using the guide in Visa Journey. But to reply in this RFE
we are planning to submit the following and use the return envelop included in the RFE letter.
1) Letter of Intent to Marry (Beneficiary and Petitioner)
2) Letter from the Priest who will conduct the Wedding
Any feedback/idea will be much appreciated
Thank You.

Woohoo! My fiancé's visa was approved! The consul said it was his simplest case of the day. I really don't know what I would have done without all the help I got from VisaJourney. Thank you all! My fiancé will be traveling to the US with me on 19 July.
Good luck to everyone and thank you again!
Congratulations!!!
Fast approval. All the best in the next journey.
