  1. Thanks everyone for the answers. :) Everything went very well and we got our visa approved! The only bummer is that we had the wrong birth certificate and need to order the long-form one, send it in, and then wait for the visa to be mailed. So it's another ~3 weeks probably until we can do the big move. No big deal in the grand scheme of things though.

  2. My fiance has her medical exam next week with Dr. Cheema in Vancouver. We're doing a double-check to make sure she has all of her paperwork and whatnot, and a question came up. This is what's written on Dr. Cheema's website under the things she needs to bring to the medical exam:

    2. L E T T E R: The letter that shows your NAME and CASE NUMBER and APPOINTMENT/INTERVIEW DATE. We are unable to examine you without the letter showing both your NAME and CASE NUMBER AND INTERVIEW DATE as per the regulations. Please make sure that you bring the Consulate letter that shows your NAME and CASE NUMBER on exam day along with a copy of the email confirmation of your interview.

What letter are they talking about? My fiance has a letter from the consulate with her case number saying to go ahead and download packet 3. She also has a confirmation email that has her interview date on it, but it doesn't have her case number. She never recieved any sort of packet 4..we just booked the interview when she got her DS-160 confirmation. What letter are they looking for exactly? Has anyone been through this recently? She's planning to bring the packet 3 letter (which has the case number) and a printout of the confirmation email that has her interview date on it (but no case number.) Does that sound okay?

    Thanks!

  3. I received my NOA2 on April 29th (almost a month ago,) and have heard nothing since. Based on what I've read from others, this seems unusual... I haven't received any mail from NVC, nor has my fiance received any mail from the embassy (should be Vancouver.) We've been on vacation for a couple of weeks and expected things to be moving by the time we got home, but there's nothing. USCIS Case Status still says Post Decision Activity, and hasn't changed since the NOA2 date.

Do you guys think I should continue to wait, or call somebody? Call NVC, or the Vancouver embassy? Not really sure what to do. Thanks!

  4. Hi, I'm new to the forum. Been reading through a bunch of posts and have gotten a lot of useful information so far. :)

One thing has been bothering me that I can't find any decisive information on. How are the names supposed to appear on the I-129F and also the G-325A forms, regarding inclusion of middle names?

Both I and my fiance have middle names. My middle name appears on my birth certificate, but my drivers license (which is also an EDL to get to Canada,) just has my middle initial, as does my social security card. I rarely use my middle name for things, like my pay stubs, bank accounts, credit cards, etc. all don't have my middle name on them.

My fiance is Canadian. Her middle name appears on her drivers license, but not on her passport. Her tax documents have her middle name on them, but not her paystubs. Her credit card has her middle initial.

I want all the names to be as consistent as possible, to avoid any issues, but I'm unsure as to how to go about it. They are already inconsistent. Could we get into trouble for providing middle names, if they don't always appear on other documents submitted?

Hope that makes sense. Does anyone know what we should do here? Thanks so much!!
