Good day everyone!
What is the processing timeframe to get an interview date. I sent my sibling's AOS along with IV packet a month ago.
I have not receive any checklist from NVC so far. I'm concern that it may take more than 6 months and my sister is 12 weeks pregnant.
Last time, when I processed my dad's papers. It took him almost 2 months to get an interview date. Was wondering if it's going to be the same?
-
You have to login on CEAC to complete.
-
My father is set for his interview next month and I wanted to get his medical exam possibly this month. Which form do I have to fill up and where can I find it? Any advice on what I should or shouldn't do?
Thank in advance!
Jem

Give them time to review your case. Call them after 3 weeks.
-
Check here -->http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin/2014/visa-bulletin-for-june-2014.html
Allow NVC to review your AOS and IV packets. That could take 2-4 weeks from the day you submitted your forms.
Good luck!

Take one step at a time. Every case is different. Some people are super lucky to get their case approved by USCIS in just few weeks.
Once you obtain your naturalization send your I-130 along with the requirements and then take it from there.

I made my parents do an early medical once I got their case numbers in January because I was worried about the X-ray thing that if ever one of them would need to that 2 month test at least we could do it while at their papers are still at the NVC. Thank God everything was fine. The medical is valid for 6 months. My parents just showed that email with the case number in it. Goodluck!
Just submitted my DS-260 few days ago. However, I wanted to schedule my father's medical exam before I get my case complete from NVC. Am I allowed to do so? Enlighten me please?

I'm not familiar with tourist visa processing. I thought they'll get alien card as well. So yes, it's best to leave it blank.
There's a thread for IR5 category if you have any more questions or just refer to the NVC guide link above. That will really help you get on top of things.
Anyhow, best of luck!

A number is Alien Registration Number or green card. If your father visited US with a tourist visa he will basically use the same A number. Leave that blank if he has not entered US yet.
I'm not quite sure what are the stated requirements on DS-230. I'm sure it's pretty much the same. Civil documents required for IR5 category is on this website http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-to-submit-to-nvc.html
For police/NBI certificates, I believe it's for background purposes. Like for instance, if your father has a record back to your country that is not legally dismiss or if he is on wanted list or if he was a member of a terrorist group LOL? I may be wrong but I assume that's what it is for.
Keep in mind that all documents you will be sending to support DS-260 MUST be certified/original copy.
-
If you do not have your father's civil documents on hand. He can start gathering those while you wait for next step.
Meanwhile, call the NVC for updates and if they receive your packet. If so, wait few days and they will email you an IV invoice. You'll have to wait a day or two again before it's ready to pay on CEAC. In my case, invoice was ready the same day I got the email.

Gather the documents required for I-130 then worry about AOS after it gets approved from USCIS. One step at a time, my friend.
Also, as long as your current income meet the poverty line. You are good.
Yes, a friend can support as long as they're willing and meet the poverty guideline.
Anyhow, good luck!

I believe it's optional. Though, I only sent the proof of naturalization. I didn't include our marriage certificate because I will send it anyway in original along with my dad's civil documents.
-
Try calling again next week. I got invoice through email yesterday. I checked CEAC and it's ready to pay as well.
I bet yours will be ready nextweek! So don't worry.
-
I have to submit again the original copy of NSO bc and marriage contract even i already submitted it before?
That's after you pay IV application fee. You have to send civil docs to support the DS-260 once it's available on CEAC.

On March 28, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.
This is my case status on USCIS, and I already received my NOA 2 approvals for both of my parents (Early April). I have never received any information from NVC at all since this date. I have tried emailing (No Response), I have tried calling (Busy tone-ALL THE TIME)- I don't know how else I can get the NVC case number and Invoice numbers to get this process rolling again. Am I just being inpatient? I notice most people are receiving their invoice/information request emails in this timeline?
That should I do? (I am continuing to call constantly all day- ugh still busy).
The line is ALWAYS busy. You have to dial their number several times. When I say several at least 60+ times or until you get connected. Your case is been probably ready since April.
Good luck!

Upon paying the fees on CEAC. There's an option with instruction what to do next. He or you can print that. You won't get any instruction through the mail or email. I believe the only thing they'll mail you are invoice bills, checklists and when your case is complete. Calling them as many as want is the best way to be up to date.
Once you mail your AOS/IV packet. You need to call to find out when it's been accepted and added to the case file.
Go to this check this guide http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process#Useful_Information. Read the whole thing because it has all the useful information you need.

NVC operator 603-334-0700
Keep in mind that the line is ALWAYS busy. It may take several tries at least. So you have to keep trying until you are connected.
Usefull information such as phone numbers, email addresses and links are all on that guide. Read the whole thing, it's good to be aware ahead of time on what you should do next.
Good luck!

Hi I tried calling this number 1-800-908-9946 IRS to request a Transcript but when i entered the year 2011 or 2012 or 2013 it says its not available. I tried it online but when i clicked the year, it wont do anything. Its frustrating!!
If i will submit these return transcripts, do i still need to include a letter of employment, W2 and paystabs of my husband (he is my co sponsor)?
You have to create an account to access your transcript. In order to do so, they will send you an email with a code instantly after you click send. Once you are able to log in it will ask you if you wanna register or continue as a guest. Then it will prompt and ask your personal information. Some of the question are from the last 3 years that you and your husband purchased. After you answer them correctly. It'll then show the tax years and ask you what will you need the transcript for. Just pick the option immigration.
If you have done that and you are getting errors. Try it again in 10 minutes?
Also, if you planning to send you packet this week. I suggest not to request the transcript on the phone because it will take 6-10 business days to receive it.
Letter of employment, W2 and pay stubs are optional. However, it is a good additional proof of your current income.
Here is what are include on my AOS packet:
· AOS bar-coded cover sheet
· Cover Letter
· Form I-864 and I-864a (signed and dated)
· 2013 Tax Transcript
· 2012 Tax Transcript
· 2011 Tax Transcript
· LES/Pay stubs from the most recent four months (January 2014 – April 2014)
· Proof of US Naturalization Certificates

Also would NVC contact me or send me some confirmation after they recieve and review affidavit of support documents ?
Thanks
You won't get an email of acceptance, so you need to call to find out when it's been accepted and added to the case file.Source: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process#Useful_Information

Hello!
My mother filed a I-130 for my siblings in 2004. Three(3) of them are approved in 2005 and other one(1) in 2010. It has been over 9 years my question is. Do we have to wait for a letter instruction from NVC before we can call them and see if my sibling's priority date is current?

Yes, it is absolutely necessary!

You just have to provide the documents they required. DNA testing won't take that long.
