  1. My wife has decided to keep her maiden name, will this throw up a red flag? The whole thing is kind of ridic, I mean our marriage is very real so we don't try and find a bunch of ####### to put together, I mean the mortgage and bills are in my name, (as was with my last American wife) when we travel for vacations, I work for an airline and I fly for free, so no tickets used to show uscis! We each have our own credit cards (I wnted her to establish credit with her SSN when she arrived) has been like that for almost 2 years! now I have to start jumping through hoops, getting everything joint, etc etc just to prove something like our deep love for eachother exists? GRRRRR

  2. I am sure this has been answered somewhere and I looked around, however I couldn't find it. My wifes Temporary GC expires May 30, 2015 (2 years after receiving it) so on March 1 we will file for the Permanent 10 year GC....My question to those that have gone through it, how long will it take after we initially send in our application with all of our "proof"? will her temporary GC expire before we get conditions removed and she gets her 10 year? We are in Southern California...Thank you

  3. Help,

It appears that myself and wife are not going to be able to work things out! We have been married just over 2 years and she has received her 10 year GC, my question is since is still a filipina citizen how does this affect her status in phillipines? This is a very amicable divorce and I want to help her (she is much younger than me) and I want her to be able to remarry an american and have a family kids etc, and I am just to old for that.....She did send our marriage paperwork to the phillipines last year, so they do know about the marriage, so if we get divorced here is that recognized in the PI? How can we get our marriage dissolved in the PI so she can remarry here?

  4. OK, have a strange question. I will be merrying my fiancee from the Phils in a week, we plan on doing our adjustment of status very quickly and hopefully will have all her paperwork back in 3-4 months.....Question is, once she gets her green card and is waiting the three years for permanent residency can she travel to the Phils for an extended amount of time? (we found out the nursing program here is 25 thousand dollars a year and there in the phills it will be 4 thousand a year, she will stay there for 2 years, of course come back here to visit me in the summer.....
