  1. It seems there's no logic to their timings! Apparently Boston is still processing August or September dates yet a few recent filers already have interview dates! I can't figure out if early walk ins for biometrics help or not. Sometimes they do but then I've seen cases which have still taken 2 more months to get an interview date. I'm hoping my case goes fast, I've managed to get my biometrics done within a month of filing. Hopefully I'll get my EAD in a month and my interview a month after that. A 3 month time frame would be awesome and seems reasonable compared to other peoples experiences lately.

I agree! In my case, I didn't do a walk in since I had no good excuse for one. However, my case went to interview within 2 weeks after my biometrics appointment. I am currently 1 1/2 months into the whole process and am already on interview/testing stage, even with an RFE! So i'm very hopeful that 3 month time frame will be a possibility. However, my employment authorization has not progressed ever since they have received my packaged. It seems to be stuck on Initial Review stage. Have you any progress for your I-765?

    Hi March filers!

So I haven't received my biometrics appointment yet - my PD was 3/13. Anyone else in a similar situation? I've seen people here who have files around the same time as myself, completed the biometrics and even been scheduled an interview. So I think my wait time seems abnormal compared to everyone else. Any thoughts?

I've sent an online service request - which seems useless as I got an automated response saying they will reply by May 6th. Anything else I can do in the meantime?

    Thanks!

That is a bit odd. You are definitely overdue for some updates. You should call the USCIS whether you are petitioner or beneficiary just to get information. And if they say it must be your spouse, you can always call back later. They're definitely a lot easier to reach when you call early. From my experience, everyone has been very helpful each time I've called with questions. Best of luck to you!

  2. Yayyyy!!! My case status changed to Testing and Interview today! :dancing::dance::dancing:

I know a few of you are also on the Testing and Interview stage. How long did it take for you to receive you interview date after your case status changed?

USCIS is doing alright by me because all of their processing time for each step took two weeks or less (even with an RFE)! This makes me very happy! My case is progressing nicely and I hope all of yours will be the same too!

    Best of luck everyone!

  3. I got my biometrics done today. It seems like the appointment time given does not really matter since you still have to wait in line, fill out form, return to line, receive a number and then wait until the number is called. So for those of you who need to get the biometrics done, I suggest showing up 30 - 15 mins early for your appointment. I arrived 15 mins earlier than my appointment and still had to wait 45 mins AFTER my appointment time. But once they call you, the whole process only takes about 10 - 15 mins. Good luck all! :)

  4. UPDATE on my RFE:

Received my RFE in the mail yesterday. The missing document was the original foreign copy of my birth certificate. I had only included the notarized English translation copy of my birth certificate thinking they wouldn't understand or have use for my foreign language copy. Just sent the RFE letter back with the necessary document. Hopefully they receive it in a day or two so they can continue to process my case.

  5. It's been over a week since mine was sent/received. I'm getting impatient for the noa1 texts/emails! I know it will be soon but I'm antsy lol.

How many days did most of you wait to get it?

I believe mine took about 12 days. So I believe you should hear from them within 2 weeks time.

Please let us know about how the early walk-ins for biometrics went for you. I decided to wait until my actual appointment as I don't have a valid reason or evidence for early walk-ins. Best of luck to all those who are trying though!

  6. I received my hardcopy NOAs by mail yesterday cool.png

Now I am waiting for the biometrics appointment letter and then comes the interesting part. I'm gonna have to do a walk-in in another state at another time since I work in another state than I file. Let's see.

Which Service Center is handling your case? I got National Benefits Center for now, but quite possible that they might transfer to another service center.

Still haven't received NOAs through mail but waiting. I'm hoping I don't get a RFE. unsure.png

Does anyone know if RFE comes during Acceptance status of your case or Initial Review Status? Like say, if I get a biometrics appointment, does that mean I won't get RFE?

  7. My current status is also OPT & I am residing in USA.

I am concurrently filing for adjustment of status (for me) & petition for alien relative (by my husband).

In the text/email it just said my case was received with a confirmation number and that Form I-797 (Notice of Action) will shortly come in the mail.

I noticed from your information that our packages were sent to different service centers. That might be a reason for the delay in response. I know how anxious you must be waiting, but just hang in there. I'm sure you will hear from them soon enough!
