  1. Just curious what number everyone is contacting NVC through. Been trying for about 1 week and get a disconnected tone.

We have the NVC contact number of (603) 334-0700 and we get a disconnected signal from that line. We have tried from multiple phones and finally today after a week tried to have the operator connect the call and they said it was indeed a disconnected tone from the line. Has anyone else had this issue?

Operator could be mistaken. Line rings one time then tones really fast. Off cell phones it just diconnects the call. Have tried calling at least 100+ times =/

  2. March.17 – Meeting with congressman immigration aide. Request for information submitted.

March.18.2014 – Nebraska Service Center Processing timeframe updated to 5 months. Case is now 7 months outside of processing standards. What kind of bs. is that?

March.18.2014 – Infopass appointment completed. Was told that case was “looked at” on Dec.23 (3 months ago), no further information. Was told to email ncscfollowup.nsc@dhs.gov and they will tell us the same thing. Advice did not make any sense, was basically a run around. =/ Infopass = waste of time.

Filling out form DHS-7001 to engage Ombudsman for case assistance. Going to submit at end of week to mark one year since noa1 and no action =/

I will keep you guys updated, maybe something works and there is some useful information for others. Thanks all for the input and suggestions.

If anyone has any other suggestion or anything that has worked let us know. Thanks.

  3. Timeline:

March 21. 2013 – I-130 Received and given same priority date

Nov.7.2013 – I-797C, NOA – Case transferred to Nebraska Service Center

Nov.7.2013 – Supplement to I-130 transfer received and states within 60days to contact Customer Service if no decision or action on case is taken.

Mid.Jan.2014 – 60 days passes with no decision or notice from service center. Call is placed to uscis customer service (800-375-5283). * Informed that “Supplement to I-130 transfer” is meaningless and to call back if case is outside of processing guidelines for service center. **** current processing times for case were listed as March.20th*** that hurt because our priority date was only 1 day later!!!!

Mid.Feb.2014 – USCIS processing times for Nebraska service center updated to April.5 2013. Case is now outside of processing guidelines.

Feb.21.2014 – Service request or referral placed due to case being outside of processing guidelines. Was told to expect response within 10 business days.

March.10.2014 – 10 days has passed and no update from Service request.

March.12.2014 – 12 days since service request. Call placed to USCIS tier2 or “officer”.

    - Officer on a recorded call states that there are absolutely no Service requests for referrals being accepted for I-130 applications and that the person that did the service request for it being outside of processing standards did so in error. Notified there will not be a response to the service request or referral placed. Furthermore the stated processing times on the uscis webside ARE MEANINGLESS AND MEAN NOTHING DUE TO BACKLOG. Indeed I am quoting the conversation.

We are at a loss for words or actions. We have quietly followed the advice of be patient however next week it will be a full year with no action on case. From everything we have followed not normal at all.

We know there are options to get the local senators immigration office involved. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

    FYI. Location is Michigan.
