Also, the subject of the interview letter email is: MTL XXXXXX (STD P4 APP (24JUN2013))
I wonder if this means they are assessing files from Jun 24th?? I had resubmitted my AOS around that time. -
Hey guys,
I got a letter from NVC with my interview date (Montreal Consulate) today.
It's been a long Journey but I'm glad it's coming to a close. I had received a letter just 2 weeks ago saying to expect delays (60 day letter), so I'm pleasantly surprised to get this interview letter. The letter is dated Aug 15 and the interview date is Sept 23rd.
Interestingly, my AOS had changed from "PAID" to "N/A" on their website 2 days ago so I knew something was up. Like others have suggested, this may be a sign that the case is complete.
Hope others get some good news soon.

A few of you mentioned that your AOS was "approved".
How do you find out if this is the case?
I spent the last hour waiting to be connected to NVC on my phone. When I finally connected, the lady there informed me that I had to wait 60 days for my documents to be reviewed.
She told me that my AOS documents had been 'accepted'. When asked if that means my AOS had been 'approved', she basically said that NVC only accepts documents. Approval is done by the embassy and that NVC has nothing to do with that.
I'm being a bit paranoid I just don't want to find out 60 days from now that the AOS documents had an error and they want me to resubmit...and start the 60 day process again.

Got my IV Bill today. Just paid it.
I had submitted my DS261 on May 30th so I guess they are about 3 and a half weeks behind in processing paperwork.
I had initially submitted the DS261 about a week earlier and then had made the dumb move of clicking on the "Complete" link next to DS261 on the online site. Reset my paperwork by a week. Do not ever click on that button once it shows up as COMPLETE...

I got the email listed below from NVC today. Anyone heard of this before? I have no idea what they are talking about as the docs I submitted are not password protected. I can open the docs in practically any laptop I have including my iPhone.
We are unable to review your attached forms and documents because they are password protected. Please resubmit the attached forms and documents without password protection so we may review and process the documents.

Hi guys,
How do you figure out if your AOS docs have been 'scanned' as some of you are reporting.
I submitted my AOS on May 28. The IV bill is still not showing up. I didn't actually 'enroll' in electronic processing. just sent my docs to their electronic processing email address after the AOS bill was approved. The operator at NVC told me that I was automatically enrolled and could send my documents as soon as the bills were paid.
I called them today and they said it would take 30 days for IV bill to become available...such a drag considering some of the applicants are getting their IV bills in a day or 2 after the AOS bill is processed. -
Hey Austin,
Hope yours gets approved soon as well. I'm starting to collect all the paperwork for stage 2. I think it will still be a few more weeks before they'll issue me a number (NVC).
I'm not sure if I'm one of the first ones from NSC to be approved or not...I wonder if it was because my file was probably very simple...

Hi guys,
I just got my approval email. They have also updated the status check page with:
On March 27, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.My PD was Oct 4, 2013
Transfer to Nebraska: Mar 11, 2014
Approval: March 27, 2014.
Good luck to everyone else.

I was also transferred to NSC.
My initial PD was Oct 4th as well. However, on the letter I got from them today, the PD date is blank and the receipt date is noted as Oct 7th, like yours.
Like a few of the others transferred to NSC, I also got my initial transfer notice on March 11th.
Thanks
Hi everyone,
Received our hard copy of the transfer notice in the mail today. For some reason, our receipt date was changed from Oct 4 to Oct 7th now? Anyone else have experience with their receipt date changing? And our PD date is blank on the transfer notice...
Here's hoping for some faster service at NSC!!!

Another question on this topic:
When you get your medical done, I understand they give you a sealed envelope for the Immigration Agent.
Do they give you the results as well? -
Hi,
Hoping someone could shed some light on the Affidavit of Support.
My wife (US Citizen) is sponsoring me.
She just started working 7 months ago. I see that the AOS form asks for copies of 3 years of income tax return.
Do you need to meet the minimum poverty level requirement for all those year? (i.e her income was 0 for the 2 years before and she just started to earn income in july 2013).
What if she only has income tax return form for last year? Thanks

Just got my visa in hand.
My interview was on Sept 23rd so I'm surprised at how rapidly they shipped the passport out.
Thanks for everyone's help here and best of luck.
Later, I'll add my 2 cents to the Montreal consulate page on my experience there.
