We filed form 1-751 to remove the conditions from my husband's 2-year conditional green card. His green card will expire in 1 week. We received the notice that the form has been received and the green card has been extended for one year with authorized travel and work. A few questions on this:
- What happens with his license? Will the BMV extend it for a year in accordance with the notice?
- Does he need to give his employer a copy of the notice?
- If we travel outside of the country, we should be fine as long as we have the notice?
Am I missing anything else that we should do or prepare for in this 1-year period?
-
Thanks, everyone! We're SO happy!

Result: We got approved!

I pass very, very slightly over the guideline before tax. Everyone please cross your fingers for us!
-
Just to clarify, what is the guideline for 1 person household?
-
Is the poverty guideline determined before or after tax? Before tax I am over, after tax I am under. The interview is tomorrow - should I be worried?

Quote from the USCIS instructions page:
"If you filed Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, as of July 30, 2007, and you paid the Form I-485 filing fee, no fee is required to also file a request for employment authorization on Form I-765. You may file the Form I-765 with your Form I-485, or you may submit the Form I-765 at a later date. If you file Form I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of Form I-485 as of July 30, 2007."

Don't know if there's a specific page for this form. If there is, let me know!
On the processing times page, it gives 3 options to file: Online, mail and walk-in. The walk-in processing time was significantly shorter than the other times. Does anyone know how to file it by walk-in? -
1. I'm not sure, but I do know you're encouraged to write "None" instead of N/A. So that's what I would go with.
2. I left out the zip code on some of my addresses.3. If you're submitting it for the K-1 visa, write K-1.
Hope this helps!

When the forms were turned in to the Colombian consul (the first one you will see), she returned back to me all my co-sponsor paperwork. My I-134 was sufficient on its own. My ex was approved the visa no problem.
This is awesome, thank you! I really hope everything works out. My parents love my fiance, but I know they don't want to be legally involved in the process.

1. Thank god, and I hope it happens this way because you described my situation perfectly. But if it's not enough, then that didn't answer my question.
2. I mailed it on March 10, delivered March 14 and my bank account shows the check pending since this morning, so now the anticipation of getting the email or text is killing me!3. Hurry up, USCIS!

1. I don't want to have a sponsor unless it's necessary. If I just send my fiance to the interview with my I-134 and it's not enough, will they deny it or give me the option to get a sponsor?
2. My bank account says that the $340 fee is pending, but I haven't received notice that they got the application even though I filed form G-1145. Does it take a while for them to respond after accepting the payment?
3. When do I receive a case number?

For I-129F Supplement: Part 2, Question 34.a, you just need to include how you met. But in the evidence of relationship section where you include pictures, I prefaced the whole thing by typing a whole page of all the times we met including the dates and a little info about what we did, and then I included the corresponding pictures and passport pages, etc.
