  1. hi everyone, 2 weeks ago, i applied for my daughters crba and passport, but was given 221g form and it says an additional documents is required to be submitted and done, so last week, via air21fedex updated us that the documents has been delivered directly to american citizenship services. so i waited for their call or text/email on what to do next but until now there was no message from the embassy... i am just curious if they have opened it already and their final decision... will i just go to embassy to follow up my application? Thank u sooomuch! hope u can help me....

  2. I'm cloudy on that issue. By mistake I listed my two sons on the I-129F petition as K2s, but one is a US citizen and one will be after his CRBA appointment. That was my mistake and so approval for K1 may or may not be linked to my mistake. I should have read more here before submitting the original petition, but we'll see.

Oh, so thats the reason why they gave me 221 g pending crba. My fiance also included our daughters name in 129f as k2... Made me think it was linked to it..

  3. Hi amerikano1, i pray that the additional docs physical presence for 5years is sufficient for the approval and will not undergo anymore dna test beause it is costly and would only cause delay of the processing.... How long is the usual processing of crba approval? Thank u somuch.

  4. You'll be fine. What it really comes down to is DNA anyway--we went through the motions on physical presence and evidence of relationship and the other items they wanted with the consul, but in the end they will (most probably) refer you to the DNA testing for the finale (biological relationship). We did blood DNA for my number one son, and I understand they use saliva swab procedure now at St. Luke's. Everything will be fine.

  5. Our K1 visa actually processed in parallel with our sons CRBA. Unique circumstance maybe as the interviews for K1 and CRBA were only a day apart. We got the K1 first and the CRBA a week later. Lucked out...everything went through first time.... All are home in the states now enjoying summer in Pennsylvania.

Good luck...you got the right advice on the evidence portion of it....

  6. I'm actually getting together a packet for my second son's CRBA (the one in my profile pic) with his little CRBA interview July 3. We did number one son's CRBA two years ago successfully. The physical presence items are the US citizen's documents of being able to transmit citizenship, so this has to do with being physically present for extensive periods within 5 years prior to the child's conception and birth in the United States. What Mr. Greenbaum had in his final paragraph above has to do with items that show physical presence in the US of the US parent, like US college transcripts, old US passports, US income tax returns, US utility bills in the name of the US parent, US employment records, US military records, and/or US medical records. I have several of those types of items to provide evidence of my physical presence in the US prior to my son's birth. That evidence, along with my passport stamps showing I was in the Philippines at the point of conception, gives some evidence of transmitting citizenship and temporal evidence of conception. Hope this helps.

  7. Sounds like they want evidence of your husband traveling to the Philippines over the last 5 years, copies of passport stamp pages, copies of boarding passes ... etc.

I would believe that USEM wants evidence that you have completed CRBA before issuing the visa, this is a good thing as CRBA can take time and they want to make sure CRBA is completed so your visa doesn't expire wh

Thank u Hank, yes, actually the CO asked me on his old passport to see his travelling history here in PH, which i did not have during the interview. Anyways, got so much help/info from u and greenbaum, il ask my fiance to send the needed docs asap. Thanks a lot!

  8. I did a little research on your question and this is what I found. Look at the last paragraph and it tells you some of the items that will prove "physical presence".

Supporting Documents You will need all of the following:

    The child's foreign birth certificate.

Proof of citizenship of the U.S. citizen parent(s). Your current passport is the preferred form of proof. Your U.S. birth certificate or naturalization certificate is also acceptable.

Proof of the relationship between the U.S. citizen parent(s) and the child. Your child's birth certificate with both parents' names on it is the best form of proof.

If you are married, we need to see proof. If you have prior marriages, we need to see proof of how those marriages ended.

A statement from either U.S. citizen parent and evidence that she/he lived in the U.S. long enough to transmit citizenship to her/his child. The statement you give is called an Affidavit of Parentage, Physical Presence, and Support.

Here is a link to the form: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/126018.pdf

How long is long enough? That will depend on whether the parents are married, and whether one or both is a U.S. citizen. Learn more about transmitting citizenship here.

How you prove you were physically present will depend a lot on your situation. There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Some examples of acceptable evidence include school transcripts, old passports, income tax returns, utility bills in the name of the parent, employment records, military records, and or medical records. The more you can provide, the easier it will be for the consular officer to approve the CRBA.

Thank u Greenbaum for helping me in my assignment. Very informative research indeed!

  9. Just had my apps for crba and us passport this morning for my daughter but the CO gave me a form for additional document to send. They need more evidence of US citizen parent physical presence for 5 years...what does it mean? It was not clear to me if it was approved or not. Secondly, my K1 visa is pending due to crba apps so i got 221g form, question is, now that i already applied for crba, what will i send to 2go? The receipt that i aready paid for crba apps or will i wait for the crba to be completed and all?..... The stress is still in my nerve..was nervous a while ago. Thank you somuch!

  10. I got the passport already and the visa pocket. ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Candy was interviewed on May 20, one week ahead of you. One week ago, she had exactly what you have now. And now the visa is in her pocket. So yours should be coming any day now.

  15. I'm not sure if the ink color would really matter. But if I'm not mistaken, they require black ink for the first few documents that we sent out. Maybe someone can enlighten you on this matter. Btw, DHL has a fast delivery for documents/packages.

Ok thank u, i already message him. Hope he would send me the orig documents very very soon..and in black ink:)
