Ok i still cant figure out how to do this. Looking for a package sent on the 12th to moscow

Ok so it's taken a couple days to cool down to be able to recount the recent events. So to recap where we were in the process: we requested an expedite because my husbands visa was expiring Sept 1st (he's Congolese studying in Russia). The expedite was approved in july 21st i believe and i called and verified our documents were on their way. I was told the packet was on its way and that my last packet which was my IV packet would be forwarded in a separate shipment but would be on its way. ( The IV scan date was June 9th. ). The CEAC site changed to "ready" a week after NVC sent the packet and we scheduled the interview for August 11th in Moscow. I flew to Moscow to be with my husband at the interview as i had emailed the embassy and requested to be able to be there with my husband. The morning of the interview we arrived at the embassy, passports checked and were allowed in. We checked our mobiles at a counter and went to security. In the xray machine they found my cell phone charger which i had forgotten i had stashed there for my flight. Instead of being able to leave it and pick it up with my cell phone i was told my only options were don't come in or go throw it literally in the street with the cars. I couldn't leave it in the flowerbed or anywhere else outside where it might have been hidden enough to still be there on my return. So i threw my charger into oncoming traffic and returned to meet my husband. It seems that everyone working at the embassy only speaks Russian even though its an American Embassy. So when we arrived at some counters there was confusion about where we were to go but they finally decided we were to go upstairs to the 2nd floor waiting area called hall 5. There were some chairs and people waiting but no further instruction. We had to go to a window to make sure we were in the right place and that we hadn't missed a step. The lady said sit down and wait. Finally we were called to the window. She started asking for our original documents which I had already sent to NVC and which I had been guaranteed were forwarded to the embassy. So NVC never sent the documents and we did not have a 2nd set of originals. We had all the copies. We were assured we could have the interview still. We were eventually called to the interview room and met with an extremely nice Vice consul. He basically said "i read your statements and you've had a rough start to your marriage". We laughed and agreed and he started to say i'm giving you the visa just as i said and its still happening. He let me finish and i said NVC didn't send our originals. He furrowed his brow and turned to the checklist page that he has to sign before he can approve the visa and said Oh you're right. Then we spent some time talking about options for getting replacements if NVC couldn't find them. He was very nice. He even gave us his personal email to keep him updated when we called NVC. So we left the embassy without an approval and with documents still pending and feeling like idiots. We spent the next few hours trying to scramble to replace documents from 3 continents. Finally we were able to call NVC in the afternoon due to the time change. I was told by the operator that i had to request the documents be sent to the embassy which wasn't what i was told before so i asked to speak to a supervisor. I was given a "they are all in a meeting" run-around and said i would wait on the line. Finally the operator said he found a supervisor. It was Beth and she said the embassy had to request the documents not us. So i emailed the Vice Consul and gave him the information. The next day he called and said NVC had located my documents and they would be sent to the Embassy and that as soon as he sees them he will issue the visa. So now i'm in Russia waiting this out with my husband. All i can say is if you expedite,contact the embassy and make sure they specifically request any documents that may not have gotten into your file before it was sent. I just want to bring my husband home but i'm so glad i went to the interview because this would have been a bigger mess had i not been there.

hubby is headed to his medical today. I pray it goes well. I fly out friday to meet him for the interview on Monday. I'm so excited. Sunday will be our 1 year anniversary.

I just bought a plane ticket to go to Moscow for my husband's interview and celebrate our 1 year aniversary. I arrive on the 9th, interview on the 11th and I hope the visa is issued in time to fly back together on the 21st.

I just realized I have to make my house ready for my husband to actually move in! I have to make space in the closet and drawers and relinquish a sink in the bathroom! Such good things to worry about!

Anyone have suggestions on a place in Moscow to celebrate an Aniversary?

My expedite was approved last week and CEAC just showed "Ready". does anyone know how long until the embassy contacts us for an interview? (the embassy is Moscow Russia by the way)

i must be doing something wrong. i cant find anything on the dhl site. the operator at NVC said my packet was shipped today to moscow. can anyone lend a hand?

She's 27 so based on that website she would have to get vaccines for measles, tetanus and vericella. Not sure why she only got 2.

Measles, mumps and rubella is one vaccine, and tetanus, diptheria, and pertussis are another. depending on the forumaltion of the vaccine and the manufacturer you may require a booster.

just got off the phone with NVC on the 29th buisness day since the last scan date and no case complete but they did say our expedite request was approved. She wouldnt tell me what happens next. She just said we have to wait for NVC to contact us then hung up. Anyone who's expeditied can you tell me what happens next??? how much longer until we know when our interview is? Do i need to call the Russian embassy? please PM me or post. thanks!!!

thanks! i submitted my second expedite request on 7/11/14. The reason for expedite is that my husband's visa in Russia expires Sept 1st.

So called NVC, operator said no case complete yet even after 29 buisness days but she did say they just found out our expedite was approved. Can anyone tell me what happens after expedite approval? the operator said I just have to wait longer for NVC to contact me then hung up. Do i call the embassy in Russia to set an interview date or do they contact us? I'd appreciate all the help i can get. Please post or PM me. Thank you for your help in this process!!! Ok, so first time using the mobile version and then full version on my phone and I see no multi quote option.

Tomorrow is business day #29 waiting for our case complete. (scan day June 9) The wait is killing me.

I know Dwipal I was so hoping for some progress this week. I was expecting a CC next week, but looks like I might be waiting 3 more weeks at the rate they are going. I am hoping this just means people haven't called or reported on here, but hopefully they are getting through dates we just don't know about it.

Anyone with scan dates in early June that have not been notified of CC, can you call PRETTY PLEASE with sugar on top???!!!

My last scan date is june 9 ( and awaiting CC as well) I called this morning and was given the standard 30 buisness day speech. Its been 26 buisness days. They dont have very much time until I go bezerk. Mentally I am prepared to handle the 30 buisness days but if they start saying longer I may lose it.

Tuesdays usually have a lot of CCs but not many today. NVC needs to hurry up! we need to get to scan date June 9 soon.

After this process through USICS and NVC I have used up all my ability to delay gratification. I officially want everything now! Especially since we get closer to the last scan date.

on hold with NVC now. praying no checklist and hoping for a suprise case complete. (scan date june 9th - I've seen up to the 5th so far today. The 7th and 8th were wekend days so there's the 6th then 9th). I hope at least this next week i'll get CC. My husbands visa in Russia expires September 1st. If the interview is after that we'll have to change the embassy. This is cutting things so close! I just hope we can change our interview date if we get issued one after August 25th.

I wonder which operator I'll get today.

God bring us lots of case completes this week! I hope this is the week for my husband but maybe next week or so. I just hope things move fast.

how do you find out which places offer pre-clearance?

Grrrr just called NVC and got Aurthur....Mr Grumpy Pants was just as rude as he's been to others. of course got the "its only been 16 buisness days, you need to wait 30 days" response. At least I know they havent issued a checklist or something.
