I know my husband does not make enough money to be 125% over poverty line. I have a really good friend who would fill out and sign this form for me and be my sponsor. Is this possible?? Would he be the "joint sponsor"??

The problem is that he could be anywhere? He's part of a touring crew and can't really take a sick day! I really cross my fingers that he'll be home when THAT day comes!! I always hated his job, but now I hate it even more.

We're just about to start AOS. My husband works out of town A LOT and I was wondering what happens when he's gone when we have the interview?? Can we re-schedule?? I'd hate for him to loose his job because of something like that.

Just wondering what happens in a case like that! His schedule is so unpredictable :(

We applied for it April 24, 2009--we sent the "recommendation for the j-1 waiver with our intitial application". The Embassy gave its recommendations for approval May 27th, 2009. However, on the DoS website it indicated that they received it August 26, 2009 and we had a favorable recommendation on October 1, 2009.

Did they ask for sponsor views?? They already received the No Objection letter from the Embassy...now I am just waiting and waiting and waiting drives me crazy!

Ours took 6 months from start to "favorable recommendation." Are your currently in the States or Germany?
