Finally (after 10 business days) had a response back from the Sydney consulate - our interview is now on the 9th of September (brought forward from the 16th)
Gives us a bit of breathing space so we can fly as planned on the 23rd and we will still make it to see Outkast in Atlanta on the 27th. When we bought those tickets months ago we never considered that we would be cutting it this tight! I'm not sure whether my husband has been more stressed about packing our house up or the prospect of missing the concert.... men

What a relief! My status just changed to "issued", yay!
So I'll pick my passport tomorrow and POE this Sunday! So excited!!! I won't miss my flight WOHOOOO!!!

Hello!!
I'm starting to panic right now. My visa was approved last Thursday; my flight is this Sunday and the CO told me to pick up my passport on Friday.
The thing is that my case status shows Administrative Processing since last Friday and it hasn't been updated since Monday. And tomorrow the consulate does not open!!! Can they print the visa the same day I'm supposed to pick it up? I thought the visa would be issued by now :/. Losing this flight would be really bad news.... Finding tickets in this country is almost impossible at the moment

Hey VJ family.
It has been a crazy the last few days.
Hubby arrived on 21st. Non stop since then.
He arrived at JFK. He said it went smooth no drama.
I wait 2 hours for him. There where 4 flights landing the same time. So you could only imagine.
Hubby seems to adjusting slowly. My step daughter on the other hand. Its like shes lived here before.
She loves her room and can't wait to Start school.
This would not be possible without VJ
Everyone on VJ Rocks!!!!!
Now we wait for his SS card. He already has a job offer but needs his SS

VISA APPROVED!!
So happy!!! The best thing is that they let me pick up my Passport on Friday 29th! And my air ticket is for Sunday (Aug 31st) so I'll be able to travel with my hubby as we initially planned months ago!!!
The interview was extremely easy, they didn't ask me for ANYTHING (well, they asked for my passport xD)
No DS260 receipt or confirmation, no pictures, no docs... And they even returned my original civil documents without asking for copies (I brought them anyway)
They only asked us one question: How and when did you meet. That was it!!!
So happy, thank you all for your support, VJ is the best site EVAH!

Got our interview scheduling email on the 15th - my interview is in Montreal a month from today - Sept 19! Flights booked and registered for Loomis, now working on scheduling medical etc. (And all of this from hotel rooms across the country on our amazing road trip adventure! I can't believe I'm not at home madly printing everything!
Keeps me from being too obsessed I guess!

Tomorrow morning is my interview!!
My husband (petitioner) will go with me. Wish me luck! I have a plane ticket for Aug 31st, so hopefully I'll get the visa before then

and your husband does he have kids? yes our only one baby.
how many months u pass in the states when u gave birth to your child ? 5
your visa is approved Mam, go pay the fee.
they say I will have passport back in 2 weeks. they also take my old passport with tourist visa valid till next year.

Only 3 days until my Interview (FINALLY!)
I have a question,
If my husband (petitioner) recently changed his address, should we tell the CO to change it on the DS260, and bring an updated i-864 with his new address?
Or do you think that it would be better to leave it like that, and after arriving to the US we change the address on the USCIS website?
