  1. Good afternoon everyone,

My husband ( Dual citizen Iranian and Canadian ) applied for CR1 and in DS 260 form they asking to upload document. They asked for Canada police clearance and Iran police clearance, he wasn't in Iran for 20 years. Also they are asking for military document which he was in 2 years service ( Sepah) when he was in Iran. I asked him to translate that military service card and upload it into website.

Is that going to be a problem due to Trump ban if he served 2 years in Iran? Is anybody with dual citizenship connected to ban countries recently got immigrant  visa approval?

I am going to talk to a lawyer about crossing the border and if it's ok, might go to NYC next week to visit my wife! I don't know if they let me in or what, but I want to give it a shot.

As I know they won't let you in without an appointment, I am not sure how it works in Canada but in US you can make an appointment with infopass and ask them any question you have.

I was denied in my interview and asked for more information (which I had with myself during the interview), then I received an email asking for more details (no form was required) and then I replied it and provided all the information that they needed.
I'm trying to collaborate with my best, but I hope they do the vetting process faster as I was in the same clearance processing for 2 years when I moved to Canada first and later for my Canadian citizenship application and also have been living here for years.

Oh ok, please keep us updated

    Hi,
I am a dual citizen (Iranian-Canadian) and my visa request was denied during the interview yesterday and now I have to deal with AP. I have never ever served in any kind of military nor touched a weapon in my entire life and I was exempted from the military service in Iran. Also I have been in the US for 23 times during the last few years without any problem and as a Persian-Jew, I'm pretty sure that I do not have any tie with the Iranian regime.
So it's not just about the Iranian men who served in military. It can happen (and is happening) to people like me as

I am so sorry to hear that, My husband is Iranian Canadian, his case just transferred from uscis to NVC for CR1 visa, he might have a same issue

Thank you for replied, my processing for I 130 was very smooth and I got approvoval in less than a year not even a month later my case transferred to NVC, I though our case is different but another way I heard they limited family based visa application even if you are not part of those restricted country and mostly they will approve application based on skills

  6. Good morning everyone, my question is: I am a US citizen and I applied greencard for my husband, my husband is Iranian Canadian and he has 2 citizenship. We are in NVC prossecing now for CR1 visa and we have to start DS260. When I login in NVC website his foreign state of chargeability is Iran because his birth place is Iran, is Trump immigration ban affect dual citizenship as well? Or we will be ok because of his other nationality  ( Canadian).

  7. Hello everyone, please HELP

I got my both parents I-130 approvals. and now I have some questions about I-864.
I know I have to fill up 2 separate I-864 for my mom and my dad. and I know I shouldn't count my mom in my dad's I-864 and I don't count my dad in my mom's I-864. I was checking the 2014 poverty guidelines to see if our income( my husband and I ) is enough for both of them. and I think I have a problem to understand this forms.
my husband and I together made $34,648.00 for 2013 year and only $3000.00 in our saving account. and we are 3 person in household ( my husband and my 3 years old son and I ) than we are 3, with my mom and my dad, we will be 5 people. and for 5 person we have to make $34,887.00. how they count my family on I-864.
question 1- do I need to show income for 4 people in each I-864 or because I am applying for both my parents, they need to see the enough income for 5 people?
question 2- my 2012 and 2011 tax return are very low and we didn't make that much money, is that important to have enough income for last 3 years or last year income is the only year that will be count for them ?

question 3- my 2013=$34648.00 and 2012=$14000.00 and 2011=$16000.00, is that okay that I only make enough income for the last year and other 2 years is not even enough?
    thank you so much
