  1. Mine too!! Maybe we should call NVC for an expedite since it's our bday month?!

Case complete case complete case complete please!!! :star: Even though I'd rather NVC review docs in the order they receive... it's more fair that way!!!

Last scan is Sep 15, guess I'll need to wait for November!

Anyhow, best of luck to everyone and please no checklists!!!

This month is my birthday and I'd love the gift of a case complete please. :)

  2. Hello Azim,

Yes, I called last Friday the 19th and was told that my DS261 has not been reviewed yet and that it would take up to 60 days. I called again yesterday and was told that my DS261 was reviewed on the 19th and should get my invoice in the next few days. I got the Invoice email last night on the 23rd with Invoice date of the 22nd. Hope this helps!

    Best of luck!!!

    did u call for iv?

  3. I think good news are coming to you guys soon!!!! :dancing:

I think good news are coming to you guys soon!!!! :dancing:

My last scan date is aug 15th too for my AOS checklist, I didn't get the email. Is that a bad thing now? :/

    same here

scan date august 11 and got the same mail today

Just received an email stating the new 60 day timeframe....my last scan date is 15 Aug...why would they send me this email now??? Strange....

Awesome ! Hope we will get good news soon !

I got the same mail today , receive date documents august 11

  4. me too!! That really sucks!!!:clock:

Saylin, it would be great if you could add all the commonly-made i864 mistakes on the wiki, because that's really the go-to page for everyone new to the NVC journey! Hopefully, many ppl can avoid getting a checklist going forward if they learned about all these i864 traps early on!!!

######! I did leave a lot of sections blank but they were irrelevant !!

Now im mentally prepared for another 2 months for the checklist review!

  5. I answered "N/A" to question 22 on I-130 when I should have put "Paris, France" as the American Consular post. I called USCIS to file a service request to California Service Center to have my case forwarded to NVC. No words yet, but if they declined my request, I will have to file I-824. I really hope that I won't need to do that!

Can someone who has had this problem tell me more about their subsequent journey? Many thanks in advance!

Background info: I am a USC filing abroad for my husband and received NOA2 hardcopy today stating this:

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, the petitioner should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approve Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).

  6. I answered "N/A" to question 22 on I-130 too. My petition was approved last week and I just received my NOA2 hardcopy today stating that:

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, the petitioner should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the Department of State National Visa Center.

I filed from overseas for my husband. I called USCIS to file a service request to California service center hoping that they would forward my case to NVC... I really hope to skip filing I-824!!!

I just want to know for those who have answered "N/A" to Q22 on I-130 and have had their cases forwarded to NVC, did you see the above statement on your approval notice too?

    I am really worried now!!!

  7. Just a little update on my case.

I received the hard copy of my approval notice today and I got confused about this paragraph stating that:

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, the petitioner should file I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).

So I was on the phone with USCIS tier-2 officer and found that out that for question 22 on my I-130 form, I put "N/A" instead of stating the American consular post in Paris, France. So the officer has filed a request to CSC to have my case sent to NVC but if CSC turned down the request, I would need to file I-824(plus a few hundred bucks out of my pocket) myself to have my case forwarded to NVC. The officer isn't even sure about the processing time for I-824... I feel so dumb!!! :crying::cry:

  8. Thank you so much for your prompt response! I just got off the phone with USCIS tier-2 officer. I put "N/A" instead" of "Paris, France" for question 22 on my I-130 form, that's why they didn't forward my case to NVC. So the Tier-2 has filed a request to California Service Center to forward my case to NVC, if they decline the request, I will need to file I-824 to have it forwarded! I am so stupid!!! :crying:

No, you need to call USCIS, speak to a supervisor and ensure your petition will be sent to NVC. That form costs many hundreds of dollars and you don't need to file it. It's a mistake on the part of USCIS who assume you're already in the US trying to adjust status.

Yeah, when my husband wakes up I'm going to ask him to contact his congresswoman.

  9. Hello everyone,

My I-130 was approved last week and I just received the NOA2 hardcopy. I got really confused after reading this statement on the approval notice:

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, the petitioner should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).

I am the petitioner and I live overseas with my husband. So does this mean that I need to file Form I-824 in order to have my petition sent to NVC?

Thank you in advance for your enlightenment on this!

  10. Hello LnE,

I have had a similar experience recently as well. My case was initially at NSC and then it was transferred to TSC on July 8(hardcopy notice) and transferred once again to CSC(July 22). I got the confirmation of the final transfer to CSC from an immigration officer(tier-2) after she checked my status, whereas the two tier-1s I have spoken to still thought that I was either at TSC or NSC. In my opinion, I would confirm the location of your case with an immigration officer before responding to your RFE. Hope this helps and best of luck!!!

    Could things get more confusing?

    02/25/2014 noa1 NSC
    07/08/2014 case transferred email
07/12/2014 received letter with notice case was sent to TSC
    07/24/2014 rfe email
07/28/2014 received rfe letter but it came from CSC

Called USCIS to confirm that my case is at CSC and no longer at TSC. They said according to receipt number my case should be at NSC. I explained that due to high volume of cases mine was transferred and I received notice it went to TSC. Agent said TSC has a high volume of cases so mine must have been transferred again to CSC but could not confirm it. Agent said to respond to RFE to the service center on the notice.

I am happy if my case is truly at CSC but seems like USCIS agent should be able to confirm this. Will send requested documents tomorrow and cross my fingers that everything comes together. What a crazy process, just trying to keep a sense of humor.

  11. Thank you SofiaShah!! And I would encourage you to call today to find out which service center is handling your case!!! You deserve to know this and they are paid to answer your questions!!! Best of luck!!!

    Congrats Bubbly!!! That's awesome!

This post and one from yesterday is now making me thing to call. My status changed on the 8th 'Transferred' , subsequent letter stated from NSC to CSC. Then on 7/15 my status changed again to 'Transferred and is now being processed' but no letter received. I wonder if this means my case is not at CSC anymore? I'll give it till Monday and then call, God willing i get an approval soon soon soon

Also, i read a post this morning advising that security checks are delayed when petitioner or beneficiary have a common name. Not good news for me and my hubby. I think there are possibly thousands or more with his name in the world. yikes!

  12. Yes you are right. After I found out that my case was in CSC, I asked the immigration officer(Tier-2) if she would open a service request for me and she said no... and she said that I should wait 60 days before calling back. So at least there wasn't double standard! Best of luck!!!

Why we're they willing to help you put in a request at the 5 month mark and I'm past that and they told me I can't put in a request? It's so confusing how these people work :(

  13. Hello all, I got approved yesterday the 24th... email notification came this morning.

PD 2/24/2014 (USC filing from abroad)

    7/8/2014 Trsfed to TSC

    7/22/2014 Trsfed to CSC

My file got transferred to TSC on July 8... and it was transferred again on July 22... I called USCIS yesterday to check if it was re-transferred after the 8th... the Tier-1 officer wasn't able to tell me and she assumed that the notice of the 22nd was corresponding to the transfer dated the 8th. Since my case has reached the 5-month mark yesterday, she wanted to open a service request for me and then our call got cut off (long distance int'l call). So I called again and explained everything to another Tier-1 officer and he didn't even realize that my case was transferred to Texas so I had to remind him that. So again, he wanted to open a service request for my case but he wasn't able to do it because of my international zip code. Subsequently, he told me that I needed to talk to an immigration officer to open the service request, after around 50 minutes of wait, the immigration officer collected my info and put me on hold while she checked my status. Another officer picked up my call after about 15 minutes and she informed me that my case was indeed transferred to California on the 22nd.

I wish everyone best of luck and a speedy approval!!!!

  14. Thank you for your clarification. I am sure you'll be approved soon!!

Weird posting set up on this website, but I have a friend who works for a Senator - my first transfer on the 8th was to TSC, then I was transferred behind that to CSC on the 9th.

She called, and they declared it was indeed in CSC.

Gosh... hearing this unsettles me a bit! Well...good luck to everyone!!!

It's entirely possible. After my Senator pointed out to USCIS that they'd separated two linked cases, my stepson's application went from CSC back again to NSC; a round trip of about a month, when no progress was made at all. Thanks, USCIS. :ranting:

  15. I've been following your timeline too since we are in similar situation... filing from France... married for more than 10 yrs with kid... ARN was changed and got stuck at NSC(now at TSC)... I told my husband back in April that we shouldn't be far behind once you get approved... Just hope that everyone will get approved very soon! I think those folks at USCIS don't really know what we are going thru... we should have them go through this process all over again so they would be more fair and less insensitive in handling our cases!!!

Stuck at NSC? Welcome to my file. :protest:

  16. How do you know that you were transferred again to CSC? Did you get a notice in hard copy?

The thing is I got transferred to TSC on July 8 and then two days ago I received another notice say this:

    Initial Review

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Does this mean that I got transferred again or it simply reinstated my transfer to TSC?! I am totally confused... Can someone enlighten me on this?

Bubblychampagne is not so bubbly after all...

Hey there, long term lurker. I got transferred to TSC - then transferred again to CSC like directly the next day.

Anyways, just got my "initial review" this morning from CSC. Started at Nebraska by the way.

  17. Congratulations!! I wish so badly that mine was transferred to CSC too!

I have had the same question when I saw others getting approval with PD later than mine . Every case is different and I have no answers to that question . I try to be happy for everyone as they post approvals but last night I went to sleep feeling like I would not get an approval as quickly as some ,feeling discouraged ,worrying about getting an RFE etc .Todays I woke up to a my NOA2 and all the worrying and stress accomplished nothing but a bad nights sleep .It will happen for you too....I hate to tell people to be patient because I know how it feels when you see others getting approvals. Have a great day :-)

  18. My case is at TSC too! PD is 2/24/2014 and it got transferred from Nebraska to TSC on 7/8... This is getting so frustrating... other ppl who got transferred to CSC have been approved already... why was mine transferred to TSC?! TSC has hardly approved any of their cases ... NSC should have just left mine in Nebraska! All the logistical trouble for nothing but just more frustration for me! Btw.. I am USC filing from abroad.

  19. I don't know either, but I think Nebraska just wanted to get rid of me since I have been bugging them so much! Well, if they had approved my application promptly then I wouldn't have to call them so much! Anyway... best of luck to all of us regardless!!! Life goes on =)

I dnt knw it is a good news or bad news because applicants connected to TSC are also waiting .NOA 1 . 18 feb ....
