  1. We had the same situation. An automatic system informed that some info was missing or incomplete, that the NVC sent RFE.

But after we talked with operators twice we found out that everything was OK that they had not sent anything to us. That it was a mistake in the system!!!!:dance:

Finally, our case was complete on JUNE 15!!!!! Can't believe it

    Please, do not worry.

Talk to an operator and find out do they really miss something

  2. Guys,

I have read on the forum that it takes around 10 days for NVC to complete the case after they receive all documents. We have sent all documents to the NVC.

We got a following reply on our email inquiry from the NVC

Documentation for this case was received on May __, 2006. The processing time for the submitted documentation to be reviewed is 6 to 8 weeks. If any additional information is required, NVC will request the information after this review is completed.

    Regards,

    National Visa Center

Does anyone know whether 6-8 weeks is a correct timeframe for reviewing documentation? What do they really review?

    :(

  3. You should really consider cultural differences.

I am sure that she has some language problems. She has no friends in the States.

She wants to be secure. She needs job. She wants to have her own place to live where both of you can live as a family. It is not always easy to live with a mother in law (even if you are from the same country). You need time to adjust to each other and to the fact that you are married.

Give her a chance. Talk to her.

You can divorce at any time. Sure you can get a legal advise but do not rush.

There are always two sides of a medal.

    good luck

  4. I have the same concern.

I realize that it is different in every case but still....

In our case they received OAS BIll 2 weeks ago and they still have not cashed it :(( Operator proved that they got it and it would take some time to cash it....

They should have receive IV Bill yesterday. (we sent it by overnight mail)

I even can't assume when they would cash them and generate DS 230 and AOS package ....

why does it take so long :(

  5. I sent choice of agent information by email to NVC. They have not reply me for more than 5 business days, that is why I sent an email asking about status of my choice of agent. They replied me in five business days after second email.

If I were you I would send an email to them reminding about your choice of agent.

    good luck

  6. You should meet with a particular lawyer in person and check all details about his/her role in your case.

Bearing in mind the fact that 2-years of home residence is not over yet, I would wait for few months and only after that apply with I-130. I believe you do not want to be denied due to these 2 years :)) It would be harder to prove later why you were denied.

    good luck

  7. I would not be so sceptical about lawyers :)

You should learn the difference between paralegals and lawyers. As well as you should get consultations on your immigration issues only from lawyers practicing immigration law not from IP lawyers or litigators, etc.....!!!!! There are too many things in each area of law :)) Person can not be specialist in all areas of law at the same time :)

By the way, you have mentioned that your wife must fulfil 2-year home residence requirement, is it over?

    May be issue is there?

She is still subject for it and for that additional reason you case is on hold.....

In any case I wish you good luck
