Hello!
So I finally got my interview scheduled for July 25th. However, my husband lost his job in this meantime. I plan on bringing a new i864 + one for my co sponsor (my father in law). Does my mother in law needs to file a i864a?
Thanks!

After a long lull on this thread - I finally have some good news!!!
Finally got my interview date - six weeks after going into T&I. Interview set for 7/25, a day before my birthday. Hoping to get some good news then!!
In the meantime, gonna brush up on that ol package sent out over 3 months ago. Wish me luck :-)
Cheers!
Me too! Got email saying they mailed a letter with my appointment details for 7/25!
No word on my EAD though.. Which is very frustrating...

It looks like you are already past 90 days. Though you had RFE, I still think it's been quite long. Why don't you schedule an Infopass appointment? I was in a crunch situation as well. I tried Congressman's help but not sure if that really helped. I was desperate to try whatever possible.
How do I contact Congressman???
-
So on 5/29 my status changed to "Testing and Interview". So far nothing and also nothing on the EAD! I'm incredibly frustrated... It's been more than 3 months since I applied. I've been seeing people getting their GCs and such.. All I want is my EAD! Is that too much to ask? Ugh
-
Just stay positive..trust me I drive myself crazy over it...but all we can do is wait...if I get an update ill let you know, let me know the same for you! fingers crossed for the both of us
My status finally changed to Testing & Interview today!!! no EAD though... :-/

I know! I'm trying! lol Anyway, thanks! And I'll keep you posted! Good luck!

Same! and what date did it go under review...
Well, they claim they received it on May 6th. But I've sent two weeks before that! This whole thing is a mess!
-
I know another filer who had the same RFE and their's was approved in 5 weeks...its just a waiting game...im sure something will happen for you soon! Where is your case pending??
National Benefits Center! What about yours?
-
Trust me I know exactly how you feel, Ive been under Response review for exactly a month now and it was for the same thing as you...sometimes I freak out because its been so long...I dont know if its normal...I mean we have upto 60 days to wait....but I know its really stressful
I know! My husband wanted to call them but I said it probably won't change anything.
I think it's ridiculous that we pay them so much money and they can't even review 2 pages in less than a month? C'mon!!!
-
So my case has been on RFE Response Review for almost 20 days. It was a fairly simple RFE (IRS transcripts). Is this normal? I'm really annoyed with this whole process...
-
Mine is super duper slow also. I didn't even get RFE. UGH! ( AOS still on acceptance and EAD still on Initial Review (
It's ridiculous! We pay a lot of money for this... and they treat us as if they're doing as a favor!
-
So we got a RFE and answered within two weeks. They say got it on May 6th and it has been on Request for Evidence Response Review. It was a fairly simple RFE, so shouldn't they have reviewed it by now? I'm just so frustrated... This process is so slow...

That person posted a link to the 1040 form used for filing taxes. The tax return transcript from the IRS is what you need. You are good with it, and don't need anything else.
Thank you so much for all your help! I'm doing as you said and sending a new i864 with new evidence plus the IRS document! Hopefully this will do!
-
Wait! I dont have that form. Where do i get it? The one I got from irs doesn't look like that!!!!
-
I have a similar situation. But I have an employer. I didn't claim to be a citizen and when I filed the papers for my job I put the date my opt would end. They never payed attention to that and kept giving me shifts.
Now I wonder... Are they going to be fined? My lawyer says chances are USCIS won't even care for it. But, as I would like to keep my job, I would prefer they don't get fined...
-
Thanks, guys! Can someone take a look at the picture I posted before and tell me if that's the complete federal income tax return? (It was under Return Transcript on the IRS website). I ask because I think it's weird it only has 2 pages!
-
-
So I shouldn't bother showing them he got a new job? I can always bring this information (with a new i864) later to the interview!
Also, do I have to send everything again, even what they already have (W2s, assets)? But no i864?
Thanks again, guys! This is a little overwhelming!!!
-
Thank you for your answer!
How long do you think it would take to have the Refund Transcript? Because if it's only a matter of days, I would prefer to wait and send that.
And should I send another i864 or wait for them to ask me? He has been in this new position for only a month..so we can send only two pay stubs...

Through IRS I can get a Wage & Income Transcript but not a Return Transcript for 2013! Would that do?
-
Also, state returns are not needed, are they?

Hi fellows!
I was hoping someone could help me. I am AOSing through marriage to a US citizen. Last week we've got an email saying they sent us a RFE and today I finally got it in the mail, after obsessing for days about what it could be! It is a pink letter and, as I suspected, it has something to do with the I-864.
WHAT IT SAYS:
"Submit a complete federal income tax return submitted to the IRS from the petitioner/sponsor on form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the most recent tax yerar."
And then, handwritten: "W2 alone are not acceptable or required."
WHAT WE'VE SENT:
Copies of his W2s, that together show my husband earned $19487 in 2013. It is a little bit under the new 125% poverty line for this year, so we've also sent a statement from our checkings + savings showing around $25000, which is more than 3 times the difference.
MY QUESTIONS:
- We hadn't sent the complete return because my husband hadn't filed his taxes at the time we sent the package. He filed his taxes last week. Should we just go to the HR block site and print them and that's all they want?
- They are not saying his income is not enough, right? He just got promoted to a full time job in the same company and his new income is $40000 a year. Should I also send a letter explaining that plus a letter from his job, even though they didn't ask for it? Also, we now have benefits! Yay! Can I send that also?
I thank you guys in advance. I know this is the most common RFE people get and that I could have found the answer for my questions on other peoples posts! but I really wanna nail this!
-
I'm sure it will be for something that can be easily fixed. Good luck.
Thank you! The worse thing is not the RFE, is the fact that I now have to wait to find out what it is they want. I wish they wouldn't have emailed me and I would find out about this only when I got the letter in the mail.

Got an email today saying they've sent a RFE.. And I thought this process was going quite painlessly... Silly me!
Question regarding i864
in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas

Thank you very much for your help. That's what I understood too. His income is the main income of the household and it's plenty for a household of 3, so I think I'll just have him file a i864!
Thanks again!
