  1. After a long lull on this thread - I finally have some good news!!!

Finally got my interview date - six weeks after going into T&I. Interview set for 7/25, a day before my birthday. Hoping to get some good news then!!

In the meantime, gonna brush up on that ol package sent out over 3 months ago. Wish me luck :-)

    Cheers!

Me too! Got email saying they mailed a letter with my appointment details for 7/25!

No word on my EAD though.. Which is very frustrating...

  2. Trust me I know exactly how you feel, Ive been under Response review for exactly a month now and it was for the same thing as you...sometimes I freak out because its been so long...I dont know if its normal...I mean we have upto 60 days to wait....but I know its really stressful

I know! My husband wanted to call them but I said it probably won't change anything.

I think it's ridiculous that we pay them so much money and they can't even review 2 pages in less than a month? C'mon!!!

  3. I have a similar situation. But I have an employer. I didn't claim to be a citizen and when I filed the papers for my job I put the date my opt would end. They never payed attention to that and kept giving me shifts.

Now I wonder... Are they going to be fined? My lawyer says chances are USCIS won't even care for it. But, as I would like to keep my job, I would prefer they don't get fined...

  4. Hi fellows!

I was hoping someone could help me. I am AOSing through marriage to a US citizen. Last week we've got an email saying they sent us a RFE and today I finally got it in the mail, after obsessing for days about what it could be! It is a pink letter and, as I suspected, it has something to do with the I-864.

    WHAT IT SAYS:

"Submit a complete federal income tax return submitted to the IRS from the petitioner/sponsor on form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the most recent tax yerar."

And then, handwritten: "W2 alone are not acceptable or required."

    WHAT WE'VE SENT:

Copies of his W2s, that together show my husband earned $19487 in 2013. It is a little bit under the new 125% poverty line for this year, so we've also sent a statement from our checkings + savings showing around $25000, which is more than 3 times the difference.

    MY QUESTIONS:

    - We hadn't sent the complete return because my husband hadn't filed his taxes at the time we sent the package. He filed his taxes last week. Should we just go to the HR block site and print them and that's all they want?

    - They are not saying his income is not enough, right? He just got promoted to a full time job in the same company and his new income is $40000 a year. Should I also send a letter explaining that plus a letter from his job, even though they didn't ask for it? Also, we now have benefits! Yay! Can I send that also?

I thank you guys in advance. I know this is the most common RFE people get and that I could have found the answer for my questions on other peoples posts! but I really wanna nail this!
