That is not a problem, his name is still correct, they just shortened it. There would be a problem if his name was spelled incorrectly which it is not. I also have 2 names and in my Drivers license, GC, etc they always only use my middle initial instead of spelling the full name. Best luck!

I am very happy to report that I got a letter confirming I am now a legal resident and that I should be receiving my GC soon. .

I was getting a little worried because I am pregnant due and September and I was worried about having my interview scheduled around that time and not being able to make it, I am so happy we didn't have to do the interview.

I am going back to China next month. I was a bit concerned too, but I called local USCIS, NBC, China Border Control, Beijing Airport. all got very positive answer. Bring your EAD, AP, copy of marriage license, should be fine. I also checked which port of entry is easier, looks like no big difference. It doesnt have to be emergencies. as long as you tell them why you are travelling out of country.

My local USCIS office even said I can reschedule the interview if I am out of country when they scheduled my interview...it's totally fine. who knows how long we will wait for the interview notice,,,

I want to travel to go home, but I am a little nervous about leaving the country just with the Employment Authorization / Advance Parole card... Aren't we suppose to use them only for emergencies?

I've scheduled info pass appointment tomorrow. Will see how it goes. My local office is processing May 2014 Cases....

I got the potential interview waiver letter about 2 weeks ago.... Instead of being happy I was angry because I know it really doesn't mean anything My field office is processing June 2014 cases...

Oh wow!!! I can imagine it is way harder being the man! How do you spend your time now? I am doing some volunteer work (not many hours) cleaning the house..... And napping like I never did before! Haha

Just checked my status again and there is the tracking number! :-) status changed to delivered.

I also checked status for the green card part and it has no updates ... I wonder how long that's gonna take

It was approved feb 10, then Tuesday feb 17 I checked my case status online and it was showing that they mailed it that day, it arrived today via priority mail. I didn't get a tracking number (honestly I didn't log back in to check my status case)

I just got my card!! I am so happy! They mailed it a week ago :-)

Hi guys! Here I go again with a question on advance parole.... I got the notice of action saying it was approved and that the document was enclosed.... Nothing was enclosed! Should I wait I until a receive something else?

Stay positive! I guess we should be "fine" with EAD and AP while waiting on the Green Card.

You will have it a max of 5 business day. So you don't have to worry.

Do you guys have any idea how long will it take to receive the card after it shows it is ordered for production ? Today I had a really frustrating experience at the drivers license office..., so long story short, after passing my practical test (needed to wait 2 months after I did the written one becase they had no appointments) they told me I couldn't get a license with expired I94.... I explained everything to them and at the end they told me I have until March 5th to show them my EAD or I will have to pay and redo everything.

Hi guys! I agree with E-N .... the USCIS takes a long time to approve petitions and that is just the start, once they approve it it still has to go thru the NVC and the consulate, then you will need to schedule an interview, do the medical examination, etc.

We filed January last year hoping to get married in April and I ended up getting my visa until September and getting married in November (And this only because we where anxious to get married and I came here immediately to plan the wedding as soon as possible).
