Hey people.

I and my wife have our green cards and we are confused about when to travel to the USA.

Is it within 6 months or 1 year?

We had our first entry to the USA with our temporary visas in February 1st.

Do i have to go there till August 1st?

And another question. If i enter to the USA in 6 months and my wife in 1 year (my wife plans to come near me after August 1st) will it be a problem for my wife?

Hey people. The packages came to my wife's relative's address. Now they are going to post it to Turkey today. is that ok to post it with carrier service?

However, I called the UNCIS help line and the lady told me that the stamp on your passport is just a entry stamp and for travel you need to get a info pass appoitment and get a I-551 stamp then you will be allowed to enter i am now all puzzled... need help in this regard

i went to the immigration office in new york and asked it. The lady told me that the stamp is ok to travel for 1 year starting from the first entry date.

So it means that it will be posted soon?

Have you checked you IOE number on the USCIS case status to see if they have sent it yet? Is your address correct in your ELIS account?

it takes at least a month from POE and lately has been taking 2-3 months. It's okay because your endorsed visa in your passport acts as a temporary green card for a year, so you have a green card, just not the "card."

Yeah. when i was in new york they told me that passport is ok to use within 1 year instead of green card.

but i have a question.

On April 15th my passport will have 6 months to expire, if i get a new passport will i be able to use new for passport and old for that stamp thing ?

hi everybody, i have question plz. ,my port of entry was Feb 2 , i still have not got my green card , in elis website they accepted my payment maid on November , not switched to optimized yet , is this normal ? is there anybody who entered in the begining of Feb and has not received yet the green card? thanks

Hi Sara. My situation is same (POE Feb 1). i am going to check it again like 20 days later. i am not going to check it before bc it gives me stress.

Your case number will only appear on the USCIS site once ELIS changes to "optimized". And don't worry about the lack of address on there, ours was also missing on ELIS but we still got them. It looks like they don't copy all your personal details to the site but they are clearly wherever they need to be in the system. (We were also DV visas.)

And another question. sorry i could not find the "edit" button. my elis account does not have an address. i thought that GC would be posted to the adress that i typed when sending the forms to the consulate (lottery gc)

is it normal?
