You've can give them a call, but if they do not have your IIN the case number doesn't do much good. Try calling early, it always seems to be least busy.

I only filed taxes one of the three years. I sent them my one transcript, a note explaining why I did not work (was in school), and my sponsors three years of taxes. We were approved. I also made under $8K the third year.

I personally doubt a lawyer can do anything at this point. You need to call at different times during the day (early, mid-day and evening) to get ahold of a supervisor (we had to do this and we have spoken to them on a couple occasions). We were told that the call center does not have physical access to the documents. From my experience, I think that they are not organized and they are terrible at updating the system. I bet your documents are sitting under a pile on a desk somewhere, or filed away and someone just needs to correct the system. I am sorry you are going through this and I completely understand the feeling... just try to stay calm and on top of them. When it comes to sending them another AOS with the W2, when did you send the AOS? It really depends on the reviewer due to their inconsistencies in directions (we were actually told by one NVC person that they were out of date and you could get flagged for either method depending on the reviewer). I personally would wait for their reply after the one you just sent, maybe they will allow you to bring documents to the interview.

I had to do this exact same thing. I had to file an amendment and it was not processed yet. I sent the NVC a copy of my 1040X, W2 (color photo copy) and a school tax info (dunno actual name). They check listed us for this and one other thing requesting I send "W2's or transcript". Luckily by then I got my tax transcript in the mail. I am not sure if they just overlooked my W2 or what, but just letting you know my experience.

I paid my AOS and filled out the DS-261 June 2nd, still can't pay the IV fee... is this normal for everyone else without a lawyer?
Thanks

My K3 was approved from the Texas Service Center on 4/16, and mailed to NVC on 4/18.
I called today and they haven't received it yet. I will be calling every single day until they know by name though!
I'll keep an eye on you, ours was shipped to the NVC the same day

How long does it take Texas Service Center to ship approved petitions to NVC? My I130 was approved on the 21st. Do they usually ship petitions on specific dates each month?
Thanks

Mine was approved the 14th and shipped the 18th. Haven't heard anything else yet...

This is extremely unusual and very suspicious. Specially, these last few weeks me and many of my friends have been receiving calls from the 'IRS' - pay up or else the feds will be knocking on your door.
There is actually a "fraud alert" on the website that talks about this kinda stuff

So, is it faster to enroll in EP or should one go with sending it in the mail? I remember reading that mailing it actually saved some time ...

Dear all, I really need some advice right now, as I’m truly confused and quite frustrated.
We’ve got our I-130 approved on March 26, after a long wait of 9 months and NVC received our case on April 11. When my husband did his tax return on January 2014, he told me that he was going to file for one of his nieces as he has been helping her monthly with some money. The little girl doesn’t live with him though. At that moment, I honestly didn’t realize that it was going to be a problem for us in the future. It’s me who is more involved with the forums and more details focused. He helps with the proceedings but it’s me who always do all the research and all. When we ordered the tax transcript for 2013, I’ve noticed that they had put that the baby lived with him. Long story short, with that niece as his dependant, he doesn’t meet the minimum requirement of 125% of the Poverty Guideline to support me (We would be 3). It’s quite sad because if he hadn’t filed for her, we would be perfect. But what’s done it’s done. I know that we will find a solution, but it really frustrated me when I’ve realized that we had to find another alternative.
What I would like to ask is if it’s better to just find a joint sponsor. (Not sure if anyone in his family is willing to help with this. He hasn’t asked yet) or to complete the difference between his income on 2013 and the Poverty line that we should meet (3) with our assets. The assets would be mostly the balance of our joint account in the USA and my personal account in Argentina. I think that adding those will help to meet the difference that they request. I know we have to meet the ratio 5:1 for that difference.
Not sure what’s simpler and less stressful. I haven’t researched yet about adding my personal account balance and what evidence I need to send about it. I live in Argentina and there is still a lot of governmental control over exchanging any foreign currency, especially dollars They can think that the money is in my account but it will be a problem to exchange it to dollars and take it or transfer it to the USA. What do you guys suggest please? Thank you very very much in advance.
Mariana
You could possibly have him ammend his taxes and change his claims? (double check this by calling a tax person in your state)

Hey guys!
We were just approved last week and our file was send out on Friday. I am ready to hit the ground running for the NVC stage so this part seems to take about 2-3 months until scheduling an interview?

Congrats! I just updated the spreadsheet.
Imathomeostasis has also received the approval email from TSC last night. She notified me via the I-130 Filers Facebook group.
Now 50% of us have received the approval emails (NOA2)!
CSC: 75%
VSC: 40%
NSC: 55%
TSC: 33%
Total: 50%
I hope more people receive the approval emails this week! Fingers crossed!
Thank you so much for updating the spreadsheet! It has been an exciting couple of days
I am hoping that TSC moves along faster, as they have seemed to be very slow the past week or so Hang in there everyone!

So you were approved but it didn't say so online? I am October 23rd, transferred march 11th and still waiting on an approval from TSC.

Hello,
My wife and I are in a same sex marriage in Florida (where it is not legal). We were married in a legal state and are going through the I-130 process now (about 6 months in). Now, I was going to file my taxes, but if I choose "married but filing seperate" it still wants her SSN, which she does not posses because she lives in the UK. Am I able to file as "single" and not have there be an issue with my I-130 application (I get more money back this way)?
Thanks!

I wonder if it is because they don't keep as close an eye on the approvals as we do
USCIS transferred the majority of the Oct applications to NSC (the slowest service center).
I thought they were trying to reduce the I-130 backlog to 5 months by May?
It would have made more sense to transfer more applications to CSC (the fastest service center).
What are they thinking?

You need to create an account then set it up to receive email and text notifications (uscis.gov)

Just got transferred March 10th not sure as to where yet.

It looks like I got deleted in the more recent spread sheet :/ I'm 10/18. Haven't been transferred yet!

Hello everyone!
My wife and I are also October filers and having the forum is amazing
We would like to be added to the spread sheet too!
UK to USA- citizen- spouse
Recieved: October 18th
Confirmation email: October 23rd
Location: National Benefits Center
Still no activity on our end yet, but it seems like we should see a transfer in the next few weeks if it goes the same speed as September?
Thanks guys, and keep positive!

My wife had visited me 3-4 times during every stage of the process. Only once was she given a hard time, and that was because she mentioned working for her job (in the UK) from the US, they still let her through. Just bring a printout of your return flight and be honest about your visit. Make sure to also bring a lease you're on or something showing your ties to your current country.
