Thanks for taking the time to read my question, and thank you in advance for your replies.

My wife is from the Philippines and shes currently a permanent resident here in the USA. She wants to take our baby to the Philippines to meet her parents, grandma, brother, sister, etc. We have applied for him a US Passport but we have not reported his birth or even our marriage to the Philippines embassy, she was planning to do all of that while in the Philippines, along with changing the name on her passport. I know when I visit the Philippines I have to have onward airfare or w.e., will the baby also have to have something like that? 

My wife just received a letter for her permanent resident approval she came here last year on a fiance visa and she didnt change her name before I filled for adjustment of status now that shes been approved for permanent resident status she wants to change her name. Do I have to file for a replacement Resident card with her new name and pay the $450 fees again for this?

My wife came here 7 months ago with a k1 visa. We have since been married and applied for her adjustment of status and work authorization. She received her work authorization card but not her adjustment of status and she is now working here in the USA but there are no federal taxes being held out of her check. Is this because of her citizenship status or something else? Will we have to pay this back later or pay taxes in the Philippines? *confused*

My fiance arrived in the USA in mid November, we just got married last week and we plan to file for her adjustment of status just after new years. Do I file my taxes as single or married? If we are to file as married do we need to apply for a tax id / ssn? How will that work with her pending adjustment of status? I just want to figure this stuff out ahead of time. Thanks for the replies.

My fiance and I were planning to start the process of applying for her fiance visa next month. I have been working a job that will bring me about $40k this year for 3 months but I just got an offer to start a job that could bring as much as $60k per year. Does the amount of time I have had the job matter when applying?

Thanks for the replies. I thought the proof of relationship had to go with the I-129 because a sample cover letter I got for the I-129 packet listed proof of on going relationship in its contents. I am still a bit confused I guess. I will try to figure this time line thing out.

I am just starting to get everything together to apply for my fiances visa. I have read over a lot of guides and even paid $79.00 for another guide from some web site. (facepalm) Here are my questions!

1) The proof of relationship information... How should I put this information together to present it with the application? Should I organize it in a binder? Stick the papers in folders? Staple everything together? I have a few dozen pages of recipts from flights and hotels, about 50 pages printed of my inbox on yahoo mail showing over 1000 emails between my fiance and my self over the last 3 years. I also have lots pictures from March - May when I was in the Philippines last year.

2) I-134 and proof of my income... I made $26,000 in 2013 (Took 4 months off of work when I visted Philippines), I made $43,000 in 2012 and I made only $17,000 in 2011 because I was laid off of my job for half the year. If I send them 3 years of tax returns will the year I was laid off hurt me? Everyone says you should send in 3 years worth of tax returns so I thought i would ask. I changed jobs in January because I moved to a new city but I will probably make around $40,000 this year also..

3) It says I should send a copy of all pages of my passport... It seems the only important page is my ID page and my page that is stamped. What about all of the blank pages and the instruction pages. Sorry if the question seems dumb... I just want to be clear on this one.,
