    Hi everyone,

My wife and I have been hanging out in the background for the past few months. We are waiting for removal of condition on her green card. We applied in September 2016 and are still waiting for a response. Our case was transferred to NBC in May, 2018; and we are still waiting for a response. We submitted a service request in mid-May and have received no response. We called today and are submitted a second service request. I contacted our local congresswoman and received the standard response of the case being within normal processing times. I was wondering if you had suggestions on any other path to address this issue. We also have an N400 pending at this time.

    Thank you!

Same. I used to update status and follow others in the September 2016 Filer thread but it appears it's gone.

Anyway, I routinely receive automated emails stating that they are still reviewing my wife's case. Our app was transferred to a local center out of the blue back in April and no update ever since. Wish I had some positive new to share with you.

I got another one that says my case has been transferred to a new office that has my jurisdiction even though I was approved on the 26th last month. Did you get another one? Pleass check, thanks. I am in Los Angeles too.

    Your Case Status: Initial Review

On May 8, 2018, we transferred your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number WAC×××××××162, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by June 7, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

Got this same notice too. In L.A.

My wife recently had her infopass interview to get a proof of legal status (e.g. I-94) since her extension letter expired long long long ago.

I also got the same status change on April 10.  At least we know our files are not lost.  Hang in there.

You are also now out of processing time. Can you submit another inquiry for that?

Received the following notice via mail:

"In order to expedite your application, we've transferred your case to California..."

The notice came from Arlington, VA.  Here's a million dollar question, was my wife's application collecting dust in VA all this time?

At least it's not a notice of RFE and this confirms that they did not lose her app (not yet at least). Sigh Happy Friday.

@Sungtory Create an account here. https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov add all of your Receipt numbers and let us know what those say. You might find something you have been looking for too! Let us know :D

Thanks. Also, meant to post on the Sept Filer thread...sorry for the confusion...didn't meant to discourage any of you in the Feb Filer thread :)

  5. Just sharing another success scenario story involving traveling with an extension letter: My wife just came back from overseas after 3 months and entered via LAX with no problem.

On a separate note, tried checking her app status using the receipt number (staring with WAC) shown in her extension letter but the website states that it's an invalid number thus cannot be found. Anyone seeing this as well?

I am September Filer, I have seen that June Cases are already completed early march, so that means they already started working on July Cases. I am expecting that August filers will start hearing something in last week of April or first week on May.

I hope that'll be the case. On a side note, she'll be returning from a trip with the extension letter...hoping she won't be caught up at LAX. That would be rough.

  7. Thanks a lot for your replies. I have went in for appointment at the Santa Ana DMV today with my green card and extension NOA and they provided me with an interim DL. They said I should receive the new DL card in the mail within a month.

At first, the lady that helped me said she wasn't sure if she can accept the NOA as extension but she checked with her manager and it all worked out. She also asked me for the stamp in my passport but I informed her USCIS doesn't give you the stamp while you have the extension NOA.

By the way, there was no charge for me to renew the DL. Is that always the case?

    Nice! Yup, free of charge.

  8. 10/17/2015: Submitted my wife's application for N-400 to Nebraska Service Center (NSC) - btw, all filing as military/military spouse members must send app to NSC regardless of your residence.

    10/29/2015: App received by NSC

Background: We've been married just over a year, thus, 319(b) allows us to apply under the expedited process. (Please note that expedite doesn't mean they'll process app faster...it just means you're are eligible to apply for naturalization without having to wait 3 years.

I'm anticipating 4-6 months but I wouldn't mind if we get lucky. :joy:

    Anyone else?

  9. On Monday I got a letter in the mail with my interview scheduled. Today I got a letter in the mail saying my interview is cancelled.

This is just sooooooo depressing, I am about crying

This kind of "mistakes" shouldn't be allowed, seriously.....

There has been multiple postings regarding similar issues. Does the letter state a reason?

Not sure and it's extremely frustrating to see/hear fellow aos filers receiving cancellation notice.

I also received a date for an interview recently...guess I'll continue to check my box for any unpleasant notice from uscis.
