  1. Here's an update on Denver's office....

My husband had his interview scheduled for this morning.

Waited 20 minutes and then during the interview he was asked where I was. He said I was at work and he was asked for my phone number and I got a call from his IO.

IO identified himself by name and said he was calling from USCIS and that someone there claimed he knew me. I said that my husband was there for his interview. IO asked me if I was claiming him and asked a few other questions about our travels. He said that he figured he would just give me a call to confirm, then thanked me and said that my husband would probably become a citizen today and asked my husband (who was sitting across from him) if he wanted to take the oath this afternoon.

I spoke to my husband afterwards and he said that the IO said that because we don't have children together that he needed evidence of our relationship and went through the bank accounts and tax documents. Overall took about 20 minutes and this afternoon he'll take the oath.

    Good luck everyone

Thanks for sharing.who knew the IOs would call the us citizen spouse so I guess it doesn't hurt if ones spouse comes to the interview. Congrats, the upside in Denver is always having the oath same day.
  2. Just my two cents here, you said it yourself, that the letter wasn't ideal, may I suggest you find the original letter that started her off on this benefit.it will typically have all you need in there and would be self explanatory. I find it confusing why they rejected it twice, could it be they don't consider it a means tested benefit.anyway,I would try one more time, good luck !!!!

  3. Is Denver ok with walk ins before time? I have 2h drive there and don't wanna go if they won't let me in. Do you have any experience with that?

No name change here...Maybe we will meet at the oath :)

The two times I have been there, they are always o.k with it. Naturally, they'd say we would attend to you after those originally scheduled but then they actually call you by who is signed in first. I would suggest don't go too early in the day, so you meet less people. In the afternoon, chances are they might not be overwhelmed with work enough to turn you away.

  4. Finally scheduled for biometrics 3/24.Please update guys, thanks.

Congrats kataS, the good news is the downside to Denver is over. you can always do a walk-in as soon as Monday if you wish and when we finally get an interview date, consider it your oath day as well. We wouldn't have to do the interview and wait for a letter for oath ceremony for months, that's if you're not having a name change. All the best.

  5. hi kataS,

that's weird they talked about resending. When I called earlier in the week, I was told it was more an issue of not scheduling one yet.I was told if 30 days passes since receiving the NOA, one should call them and they'll put something in the system to schedule one. More like a reminder of a case overdue for a biometrics kind of thing. Anyway, I know lots of people in the race in Denver and they all say Denver takes a minute to schedule biometrics.
