mom even went to st. Luke's after her interview and asked them to submit her medical records to the embassy. As far as I remember, she was given a paper (221g) and was told to wait for their call. They didn't ask for any other documents, didn't return her passport and was told they were just waiting for her medical results. She never gotten a call from them and just as I mentioned, it took about three weeks until she got her visa packet. Just be patient. You're almost there:)[/quote

Hi! We experienced this with my mother too before. When she was asked to do the sputum test, and asked to wait for 8 weeks for the result ( which came out negative), I decided to reschedule her interview appointment. She didn't go on her scheduled interview and just waited for the 8 week cultivation of the sputum. I was able to pick a date 1 week after that 8 week due and she was able to get her vaccines too. The only bump that we encountered was that when she went for the interview, st Luke's had still her medical result. If the chosen interview date is close to the date of the medical exam, it's wise to just tell the people at st. Luke's that you'll hand carry the result. When is the pd of your mom? Yea it seems like retrogression is coming yet we don't know exactly which month of this spring because f2a category is kind of unpredictable. Good luck and God bless.

Hello! that is exactly what happened to me.. i rescheduled on earlier date and i was told that st.lukes still has the result.. my question is how long before they issued you a visa... how long is the waiting period for them to receive my medical result.. your response.will.be highly appreciated... thanks in advance..

Just finished the interview thank god but the consul didnt say anything but the guy from the window for the last step said to just wait for the visa to be mailed.. and also told me that they dont have my medical result yet but when i followed up on st. lukes they told me that they transmit it already... kinda confused

I received that letter too telling that my interview date will be moved from April 29 to May 9. But I have already rescheduled my interview through online to 1st week of April. Check this website https://cgifederal.secure.force.com or

Check it from time to time you will get an earlier date. Just be patient.

Happens all the time. Nothing you can do. Your embassy has been crazy busy and they may have overbooked that day.

I want to request to reschedule it earlier but when i called the usem there's no available date..oh by the way, the letter is from usem and says that they are all rescheduling all those who have interview on april 29 because visa services unavailable on that date..

im in the process of doing medical examination and interview after 33 days we receive a approval from NVC. now im so confuse what i need to do or what step i need to conduct for doing my medical examination n SLMC? i read in some forum and details from ceac.state.gov i need to pay the visa fee to BPI after 3 day ur interview is schedule already, but before interview i need to conduct a medical 1 week bfore interview. this is my question how to schedule my medical to SLMC? what document i need to present?.

Its the green card processing fee. You can pay after you receive your visa and up to 1 year after. Not a visa fee.

And you pay the $165 on the ELIS website. You will get instructions when you pick up Via and passport

 What's was the amount they told you? The only other fee I know of is the "green card" fee that you have to pay to USCIS. But that's after the interview and before POE.

I completed my medical exam yesterday they gave me a cd and vaccination report and gave me my IL . My question is the IL they gave back dont have a stamp... do they really have to stamp the IL they gave me? and how about the visa fee? how can i pay it do i have a to wait for another mail for their instruction? thanks so much.

everyone please help.

My niece (also an F2A beneficiary) is asking me about AOS forms and honestly, I really dont know what to tell her best. Her husband (the petitioner) income is not enough to support them (my niece and her cute baby girl), so his mom will help....however, mom's income is not enough too...so the dad will help out too. Now, they are all confused on what forms to use. I864 for the petitioner, what about the mom and dad? petitioner lives in the same house with the mom....(they live in Seattle) the dad is working in Alaska but mailing address is still the same with the petitioner and the mom. Dad files joint ITR with the mom.

please, anyone who knows what forms to use?

I guess they have to consult a lawyer.. AOS is very delicate to fill up and its such a waste of time if you didnt do it properly because the nvc will just ask again the correct aos.. it will cause delays..

And of course we dont know when it will retogress again so it is really a big suspense for us. As for me im always monitoring the visa bulletin in uscis and always hoping that our status will remain current... i cant even sleep this past few days... :'(

Married name - but somehow they kept using my maiden name UNTIL I sent them a copy of my passport with my NEW MARRIED name.

This was sent before CC to them because i was concerned they had names wrong.

However from then on it was all under my married name.

"The national visa center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petetioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified....

The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa..."
