Thank you for your answer Dave.
What exactly does "lack of knowledge with US immigration" mean? Can you remember some specific examples?

Hi everyone
My daughter and I are flying to Chicago from Bucharest on LOT Polish airlines at the begining of June.
Can anyone please share their experience with LOT from Warsaw to Chicago? Or any other destination in the US on the Dreamliner (economy class)?
Thank you so much

Thanks, fellow Romanian
I'll be in US for work until right after Easter, we'll probably have news from the Embassy by then.
It's good to know you went through this before us, so I can ask you if I have questions.
Sure, feel free

Hi everyone!
I've been reading everything on this thread but only just now created an account to share the good news: our I129F was approved in 69 days, and this is with a RFE in the meantime. We were expecting around 4-5 months, this is great!
Congrats!
You guys sent in your petition the same day as us
It will go very fast from NOA2.

yay!
Thanks allot, i did it.
I really appreciate, and congrats on your viza :-)
How the interview went? Lots of questions? Any tips?
I'm all questions now :-)
Thank you
Interview was short, my fiance was with me so everything went smoothly.
Questions:
How did you meet?
When did you start dating?
To my fiance: have you met her parents? What is her mother's name?
What are your wedding plans?
That's it
Funny fact, we were interviewd by the exact same VO that had previously denied my tourist visa back in november (for the obvious reasons..I said I was visiting my boyfriend)
Well now she had to approve us

Hi
A litlle help please.
I have the interview in one week.
The last thing is to register at tnt.
They ask for a receipt for visa payment.
In the instructions is very clear that can be paid at the embassy on the interview day.
So i'm stuck on the registration page, where they ask for the receipt. And i have no confirmation page to bring to the embassy whit the delivery address of the documents (passport with visa), and no other option in the registration page, and i just don't understand, and too late in the evening to contact call center.
I'm sure its simple, i just cant see it or i'm missing something.
Hello, I just had my interview last week and this is what my instructions said about registering at TNT: choose CR-1 instead of K1, so this way they will not ask for a receipt number.
Then simply print confirmation page, they will ask for it at the interview (and they wont return it to you, btw).
You will need your ID (buletin) to go and pick up ypur passport.
You will indeed pay the 240$ fee at the consulate, after you present paperwork and before they take your prints.
Good luck

Just letting everyone know we got approved this week
It was quite an easy processes - around an hour in and out - my fiance was there and everythig went smoothly.
Questions:
How did you meet?
When did you start dating?
To my fiance: have you met her parents? What is her mother's name?
What are your wedding plans?
That was it
Good luck to everyone!

Our NOA2 was on Feb 11 too, the case left USCIS quite fast as our case was created at NVC on the 20th and left NVC on the 24th.

When she fills in the DS160 there is a question about travelling with anyone, she will be able to list her child as her companion.,
When she fills in the form for her daughter, she will list herself (the parent) as the comapnion.
Did her daughter have her medical?
Also, the email confirming the interview date should include both her and her daughter's name.
-
For the K2 visa your fiancee simply needs to fill in a second DS160 for her daughter, in her name.
Also, she needs a separate medical exam as well.
-
The child's name does not appear on the NOA1 or NOA2.
My daughter's name didn't either.
As long as the child is on the I129 you will be fine

It's definitely a good time for K1, in many cases at least.
We got to chose our interview date yesterday, my fiance wants to join me so we chose a later date than available.
In theory, we could've had the visa in hand in exactly two months after the petition was sent
-
You will be able to choose whatever you want date for May, I'm sure.
Have him mention the fact that you intend to join him for the interview so they put you on the list.

You are very close
The case is at Bucharest Embassy and your fiance should wait for the yellow packet from the Bucharest Embassy at the begining of next week, Wednesday the latest, in his mail box.
After receiving the packet ( a simple envelope) , the DS 160 has to be completed on line, then the confirmation page emailed to the embassy. After that, they can call them embassy and pick out the preffered date (they ask if you have a preference).
Good luck
-
If thats the case can i complete DS-160 for my fiancé and email confirmation for him including a scan copy of his passport?
No, the DS 160 has to be completed by the beneficiary / primary visa applicant.
-
Do you have the date that NVC sent out your case?
Yes, the confirmation for DS160 is emailed, nothing needs to be mailed now.
-
I took the liberty of updating the Bucharest page, I think it was long overdue and full of outdated info.
Hope it helps (and also notice anyone can edit, in case it needs further improvement)

We are at "yellow packet" stage, finishing touches on the DS-160 and hopefully getting an interview date by the end of the week.

Hello
My first post today, anyone else from Romania on K1 their journey?
Our NOA2 came on Feb 11... now waiting for the NVC to receive our file and give us a case number.
I'm wondering at what stage can I schedule the interview? Can I simply call the Consulate after I get my case number? Or do we have to wait for our case to arrive in Bucharest and then their instructions in the mail?
Thanks
LOT Polish airlines from Warsaw to the US

Well the first reason we chose LOT was the 12h total trip, the shortest possible from Bucharest, compared to at least 14 with other airlines which might not seem much for an adult but for a 5 year old who has never been on a plane is definitely something,.
The money difference is a lot more than 200 dollars too, since its two people traveling .. $1800 difference for the cheapest Lufthansa btw, which is 14 hours so.. I don't know
@jannapa, Thank you.
Did your kids travel with you on the Dreamliner? Do they have some entertainment options? Games? Movies?
I'm trying to prepare my daughter mostly
