  1. Has anyone been able to pay for their MRV fee online yet? I got my P4 but I'm having issues making a payment and their help center isn't really of much help. I don't think I can even make an appointment if I can't pay for it to begin with.

  2. I just filled out my DS 160 and have everything for my checklist other than Police Records, which I will be going to get tomorrow ( I reckon it may take two weeks or so?) but I noticed that my approved k1 petition expires June 26, 2015. I was wondering if I had enough time for me to get my police records, send in the email for packet 3 and wait for packet 4 to schedule my interview. They said it could take up to 6 weeks, and I'm really nervous about whether or not I have enough time to get my medical and appointment scheduled in time before it expires. I just received packet 3 two days ago. I felt it took a little longer for me to receive it in the mail considering it was right after the Easter holiday. I also wanted to know, other than the NVC fee, (which I haven't received the invoice for yet) and USCIS Immigrant fee, is there any other fees I'll have to pay? As for affidavit of support, my fiance barely makes the bar for the requirement so his dad also filled out the I-134. He did feel uncomfortable having to show his bank statements, but he's a self employed construction worker, and on travel.state.gov, they listed that they didn't need to show evidence of income :

    • If you are currently self-employed in any of the following ways, you do not need to obtain submit evidence of income:
      • Babysitter, elderly caretaker, construction worker, handyperson, housekeeper, landlord, musician, nanny, seamstress, tailor, artist, or writer.

so will it be okay to only have the form filled out and not show supporting evidence?

I've been really stressed out/nervous recently because I'm not 100% sure about how much time I have before the petition expires, so I'll feel more relieved once I get a better understanding with what I'm dealing with. Thank you!

  3. We submitted our application on Aug. 8, 2014 and got the NOA1 on Aug.11, 2014 but it seems they haven't touched our case since considering there hasn't been any updates. Do I call them to see what's going on six months after (Feb 11. 2015) or do I wait a month or two more? I know TSC is a bit slower than that other two and I saw the processing times but it's just a general question. My timeline data is telling me my I129F may be adjudicated between February 3, 2015 and March 21, 2015 which is in about a week from now to a month so should I wait til after that period or just til Feb 11th? Thanks :D

  4. I'm Canadian and my boyfriend is American, weve known each other for about a year and have been dating for about 9 months now. I'm currently staying at his place with his family under 'visiting' rights. I've been back and forth and I'm getting close to the four month mark of 180 days per 365 days. I'm looking over the K2 visa process because we do want to get married and I know the process may take a while, but I'm confused whether or not I'm allowed to stay as a visitor during the process or if I have to go back home and wait. We plan on getting married right away when we get my K2, and I pretty much have all the information needed, photos and even saved skype chats/calls, airplane tickets, reciepts, etc.

So yeah, I basically want to know if its okay to apply while im still visiting in the states, and if its okay to stay during the process because I have seen posts saying its okay. I just dont want to get in trouble for over staying my visit. Thanks in advance and sorry for writing such a jumbled up post/spelling grammar mistakes because I'm posting this from my phone.
