  1. I was wondering, does it matter where we land in America? Does my husband have to come in through a certain airport or does it not matter?

In everyone's opinion, where's the best state to land? I was thinking Dallas since we live in Texas but it's always hard finding a flight from amman to dallas that connects to my city.

Is Chicago or Washington good, too? Or New York? I just want him to pass by easily=/

Where do they give Arabs the least amount of trouble lol

Also, thank you fatoosh for answering my last question!!

  3. Had interview today finally after 6 months of waiting.

My husband spent 3 and a half hours in the embassy today, they asked him simple questions like how did you come to know your wife, when's your anniversary, stuff like that.

My affidavit of support wasn't enough so I had two joint sponsors but turns out those two joint sponsors sponsored other people so the affidavits were worthless.

Visa denied until I can find someone who hasn't already sponsored an immigrant to sponsor my husband.

  4. Anybody hear anything from the two that had there interviews today ???

Happy for all of you who have gotten interviews, make sure you take copies of your originals, they took the copies from my husband.

  5. Our lawyer got an email. It's not just for Saturday appointment a friend of ours appointment is on a Monday and he received the letter as well.

Was I supposed to do something after receiving the appointment letter? Maybe I'm the one that made a mistake? Or is everything automatically sent to the embassy through the nvc

Did anyone else do anything besides medical after getting the appointment letter?

  6. Also, on ceac, states Ready. His papers should be here. Why doesn't the Embassy know he has an appointment, it doesn't make any sense. I don't want to risk going the day of the interview and having them refuse us entry after 6 months of waiting, that's not fair.

Anyone have any ideas what else I should do?

The guy at the embassy said to register at ustraveldocs but that didn't work either

I wouldn't panic. The results of your medical are good for six months. I would take the appointment letter along with all of the requested paperwork and show up at the embassy at your appointed time. It could just be a miscommunication. Hopefully everything will be fine. Good luck for your interview. :D

You think so? I'm so far beyond panicking. They can't refuse us entry, right? If I have the appointment letter then it should be fine?

    so scared!

  8. I would take your appointment with you. By the way everyone is to take their paperwork 1 week before to speed the process up.

Where did you guys read that? I never got an e-mail saying that. All I got was an interview letter from the NVC. I tried going to ustraveldocs.com and registering his interview date and that didn't work either.

  9. For everyone that's been waiting as long as I have, remember to update your affidavit of support papers. I happened to be looking at mine and saw that the form expires march 31st, 2015. I'm updating all of them now so that my husband can take them to the interview with him.

There's a part on it I don't understand though, under Part 2: Information about the principal immigrant, mailing address, it says In Care of Name

Do I put my husbands name or my name? I'd put his name, right, because it's asking for his mailing address. I'm not quite sure. Help?

Also, medical is tomorrow, I've got his passport, a copy of his passport, 2 passport size pics of my husband, and the interview letter. Am I missing anything?

  10. Congratulations. I just happen to pop in and saw the great news. Sorry about the surgery hope you will be okay. I have updated you on the spreadsheet. WOW no more outstanding petitions remaining for March. :goofy:

Sorry! I was meaning to stop by the other thread and tell you but I've been a little tired. Feeling better, just in time. My husbands medical is tomorrow, hopefully all goes well. And yay!! Happy to hear it, I know there were a few other people waiting with me

  11. Sorry to keep y'all waiting. I'm in Jordan, I had surgery a few days ago and I'm still in recovery. I opened my e-mail and lo and behold, finally an interview date for October 6th. I'm supposed to be back stateside Sept 30 though, I'm asking work if I can have more time off. Does anyone know how long the medical takes? My husband wants to wait to do it until like the last week but I want him to just get it over with. Does it take long to get an appointment and to get everything done? I don't really know what else to prepare, tbh, I've been preparing for 6 months for this damn interview.

    Anything else I should do?

Congrats on everyone else who got interview and good luck to those still waiting!

  12. My husband and I have been through an interview before. In our experience, my husband wasn't allowed to take our binder in. They had him take out the documents they needed, and left some unneeded documents in the binder, which he left outside the interview. I have a friend who took a beautifully made album to her interview, containing her relationship evidence. After all that lovely scrap-booking work she did, she had to dismantle the album and take in only the pages.

    That's terrible!

I guess I'll just bring a stack of papers then. All that work for nothing. I actually made books with our pictures but I guess it's no use taking those anymore. Oh well=/

    Thanks!

Good Luck Everyone!! Wish us luck!! the immigration interviews @ U.S. embassy in Jordan have been on hold since late April!!!

MY CC DATE 5/21/2015 its been 104 Days!!!!!

    Since late March, you mean.

  13. Well it doesn't really matter how you assemble your personal binder long as you know where things are when asked. It's not like you're going to hand over a binder. CO's don;t have time for all that. Hopefully you provided enough in your I-130 package or sent more evidence to NVC so all that extra will not be asked for or needed.

I always though more evidence was always better? And I put each paper in sheet protectors so that I wouldn't have to punch holes in them. Should I just have them in a stack of papers? I liked the binder idea because I wanted to put in dividers with labels for everything, it seemed like the most organized system.

Should I not have done that?

  14. Wait you have two joint sponsors do they live together? Do neither make the guidelines on their own.

    Household embers use the I-864A

You fill out a I-864 and your Joint sponsor fills one out also. And of course both of you submitting all your financial documents.

No, my original joint sponsor didn't make enough on his own but NVC told me not to send anything else in because it would cause a delay in my interview scheduling and to just bring another affidavit to the interview itself. So I now have a joint sponsor who makes enough but I included the original joint sponsor just in case they asked about him.

No, they don't live in the same household, they don't even know each other.

  15. Also, I'm putting everything in a binder and I have two joint sponsors. So should I put proof of relationship after all three affidavits (mine being the first?) or should I put proof of relationship materials after all three affidavits?

    So confused.

My husband hasn't been scheduled interview yet but I'm visiting so I'm going to leave all the paperwork with him just in case I can't fly over for the interview, whenever they decide to finally give him one.

    5 months and counting.
