Now I'm really confused. My wife entered the usa almost 90 days ago on a CR 1 visa. I thought that I needed to file to remove conditions within 90 days because we have been married for less than two years. As I start to read the information because the day that we need to file is coming up (90 days after entering the usa) I am learning that I need to file I-751 when her conditional residency expires?

I don't understand your message. What is a ewi? Never been caught? What does that mean? Where are you? Did you read the guides?
-
Wow, congratulations! Ours was in the system the next day, picked up on the 2nd day.

No police records for mexicans. You will not get your documents back.
-
For the ASC appointment you only need the confirmation of the interview appointment (explained below). The medical (black sealed package) is for the embassy appointment. You should get the confirmation email that that says 'Your online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application Form(DS-260) has been submitted'. with the .PDF confirmation. I would make sure you have the confirmation before scheduling, in addition I would schedule on the phone, not the onine system. After months of reading information on how to schedule, I still did it wrong. Luckily I called in just to check.

We flew in Wed, Thurs medical and tues interview. Some may take longer with the medical due to complications, but we had none.
-
I see, the supporting documents are brought to the interview.
-
I read your timeline and it says Texas service center? This is correct? If you filed in Mexico City you bring supporting documents to the interview.
-
They say 30 days but it could be a few days. I got the email the next day saying I can schedule.
-
You are correct by filing i864 with 0 income and your brother filing i864a.

Ok, I asked because México is extremely fast if you file directly through the embassy. I thought the beneficiary had to be Mexican. On the packet 4 list of items for the interview, it asks for am unexpired Mexican passport for the beneficiary.

You mentioned moving to Mexico. Is your wife Mexican?

Im curious what fee is $165 once you enter the usa

Again, sorry for the highjack. Thank you very much.
-
Dont mean to highjack but it seems appropriate to post my situation here:
Me unemployed - i864
Dad cosponsor (files jointly w/wife my mom) - i864a
My dad makes enough, above 125% poverty. Does my mom need to fill out i864a?
Thank you

Great. Thanks so much.
One other question, since this process is quite quick im guessing i should wait until we are a few months from leaving, but that obviously makes me nervous. Are there time restrictions on any particular part of the process that would prevent me from filing about 11 months in advance of our intended move time?
I am not exactly sure how to answer. I believe once the visa is issued you have 6 months to enter the usa (not 100% sure). If you read this complete thread you will see the process has changed (for the better) and the process is very fast right now. I would take advantage of this before it becomes more timely.

The process is quick. My petition was approved in 20 hours. And I have a case number to schedule the interview. Yes, he can work upon entering the states.

I am aware of México city. I am not sure if Guadalajara has a service center.
-
Yes! Providing all your paperwork is in order.

Great thanks

Hi Stephanie, I also would like to know how do i get my receipt number? I had to move out of our apartment and do not have access to the mail.
Please dont all rush at once...
