Hi I just need some advice if somebody went through the situation as mine. I sent my AOS packet to NVC and had a mistake in putting my gross income. I put the number shown on my w2 instead of the ones in my tax transcript. There actually is a difference coz I think the IRS rounds it off. (e.g. W2- 41,258.95 , in tax transcript its actually 41,259). So when I knew about it when I called NVC then i immediately sent a revised I-864 using the AOS barcode. MY question now is that they just sent me an e-mail about the mistake i made about the gross income and it came with a barcode sheet. WILL they still honor the revised I-864 i sent? or i should just send another revised I-864 with the email'd barcode sheet? Thank you everyone!

Hi, just a question. should I tell my wife to send like copies of the passport stamps and pictures of our trip during the NVC stage? or just tell her to just bring it over during the interview?

hey man im on the exact same boat as you, i filled single bc sincerily it didnt let me do it married in anyway. so i am waiting for my wifes nvc number and im going to go ahead and amend the taxes while the whole nvc process is going on so that by the time of the interview they will be amended and no issues IF THERE ARE ANY which i dont think bc i filled taxes and obviously my wife is not here for me to claim her..

hey man. right now still waiting for a case number. they received my papers on feb 6 and they said it takes 20-30 days for them to process a case number. just make sure your w2 and your paychecks says your married though. thanks man. you too. good luck!

my wife is in Singapore right now and our case is now on NVC waiting for a case number... can I just have her fill this forms up and send her a copyof the NOA2 then bring it to SPF? will that suffice?

v i got my police clearance already... letter from us embassy needed. take 3 weeks processing

What's the exact letter do they need.. If u cab please tell me how you did it? right now our case is in NVC and we're still waiting for the case number.. Pls advise. Thanks you so much

help... im here in sg since 2010... and just received our noa2... do i really need to get clearnce here in sg and nbi clearnce in phils? will they issue to non residents? thanks

My wife is going through the same thing.. She'll be getting one from Singapore and from the Philippines too.. For Singapore we're planning to get a request letter from US Em then bring it to the Singapore police.. For The Philippine nbi.. Told her to go to the phil embassy and get fingerprinted and send it to the Philippines.. How long everything takes i'm really not aure hopefully it would only take days.. Any advise?

If she spent 6months or more in the Philippines after age 16 she should get a police certificate from there.

My wife (from the Philippines) has been working in Singapore since 2009. Now, in the IV part should she send just a police certicate from singapore? Or she should send one from the Philippines too?

Im not an expert but I don't think filing as single is going to be an issue as long as you can show that you filed taxes you should be fine. If they do ask just say the truth why you filed as single. Its very unlikely they will ask about it tho.

So here is my situation..

Me and my wife got married January 2013. I just filed my taxes as single which technically not the right thing to do. so i'm trying to amend it and file as Married filing Seperately. Our case right now is that we are just waiting for the case number from NVC. Here are my questions:

- During the interview, what's the probability of the consulate officer questioning the status in the Tax transcripts? (I've been researching about denial of visas and could barely find a case about being denied coz of the tax status issue)

- So my plan is just to submit my 2012 tax transcript , my w2 for the last 3 years including 2013, some pay stubs AND my 2013 where is filed as single. Let's say my case progresses and my Wife will be for interview. Can I just send my wife a proof that I was amending my 2013 tax from Single to Married filing Separately? and a follow-up what is that document that I could send her that could prove that i'm trying to amend my 2013 taxes.

- if I could get some help and feed backs about my situation.. I would greatly appreciate it. thank you! =)
