Hello Everyone,

My husband and I had our adjustment of status interview on July 31, 2014 and we both thought it went well. Our I-130 was approved on August 1^st. We then received a RFE on August 6^th to complete an additional form due to my husband current visa type. I completed the form and it was received on August 13^th according to the USPS. I also had an Infopass appointment on September 29^th which wasn’t helpful. He couldn’t confirm that the RFE was received or not and he just told me to wait. He did mention that sometimes an officer may not review the RFE until the time period of the 84 days has lapsed. Is that true? He did mention that our case was transferred to another officer (not the one that interviewed and requested the RFE) on September 18^th. I’m worried as to why it was transferred to another officer. Could this officer be preparing a denial? How long has it taken others to receive an approval after an RFE was requested after an interview?

I am in the process of co-currently filing the I-130 and I-485 for my husband and had a formatting question. On the I-130, I was able type in all my response except for

Question #14 - If your relative is currently in the U.S., complete the following

He or she arrived as a ______ - I am unable to enter a number to show the current visa status my husband holds.

Date auhorized stay will expire, or will expire, as shown on Form I-94 - I am unable to type in D/S which is reflected on his current I-94

Would it be okay to hand write the responses to the those questions or should I complete the entire I-130 form handwritten?

Has anyone submitted an I-864 form using their foreign spouse's income? If so, what evidence did you submit? In particular, how were you able to demonstrate that the immigrant income will continue after obtaining permanent residency.

My spouse has a current visa and lives with me.
