  1. I am not a super active poster, just wanted to thank everyone for all the information in this thread! I would never have been able to figure out this process out without these forums. Husband's medicals got to the Embassy a couple days after the interview because of a very quickly scheduled interview date and a bit of a delay with the NVC sending the file, but the visa was issued quickly thereafter! So happy. Now we just have to wait for the email to pick it up!

  2. I don't understand why do you have to wait for your petition to get to embassy? All you need is the interview letter?

Have you called NVC to ask if your petition left? I would do the medical now.

They don't give you the results in the UK, they're forwarded to the embassy, and the people at the medical office said they can't send the results there because it can get lost without our file present. I even asked if they could delay sending the results and she said no. Maybe we should just do the medical and if it gets lost they could send the results again?

I did call the NVC today, petition hasn't left. She said they "never" send the documents too late for the interview, but I am not really convinced. I do realize they have had bad weather but then that should have been taken into consideration when scheduling the interview. I am grateful we got an interview date so quickly but these mitigating factors can be stressful.

  3. File still has not left NVC, thanks to whatever holdup is going on over there, even though interview is in a little over a week. This in itself is stressful enough but husband can also not make the medical appointment until the file is at the Embassy, and it takes 4 working days for those results to be received after the appointment. We don't want to take any chances in booking an appointment because they charge a 100 pound cancellation fee. So it looks like acceptance will be provisional at best. It's just...frustrating.

  4. Hi everyone! This is my first time posting, so my apologies if I should be posting somewhere else. So, we were assigned an interview date in London (March 3) very soon after our case was closed (Feb 10). How great, I thought. But calling the NVC, they are saying that it is taking them weeks just to send out the completed cases. The rep said that if they don't send it out on time, the Embassy will just reschedule. He also said that they would be flexible, like that was supposed to make me feel better. blink.png Has this ever happened to anyone? I guess I'm really just venting because I feel like I have reached my frustration limit at this point.
