  1. Hi fellow Feb files,

Its been a long time since i was active on this forum. Work is crazy and hardly get any time but i had to come here today due to all the help I got from this forum.

My Green Card has been approved.

I finally had my interview today (I had filed on Feb 14, 2014). The IO was very funny and chatty and chatted the whole time with my wife. Asked us questions about our travel and our baby( she is due on Jan 2015). Asked if i had any more documents to add to file and that was it. It was max 15 minutes. I am so happy and i now i can relax forever and don't have to go through any more applications for the next 10 years...I wish the other feb filers who still havent had their interview yet best of luck. Hope you all get your cards soon!!!

  2. ladyliberty - My attorney is coming with us to the interview. I paid them to file for us, they've been with us throughout the entire process. I didn't know you could hire an attorney for just the interview part... it seems odd your "top dog lawyer" wouldn't attend the interview with you since it should be part of his fee to begin with.. weird.

    Hey Tratsing,

How are you? Looks like you finally have your interview date. Best of luck for that.

I got my interview date a week back as well. Its for the 3rd of Nov. After 7 long months and we filed on the same date as well...

    very excited for this..

  3. Hi,

I have a concurrent application with the USCIS at the moment. I am still waiting to get an interview letter from them for the adjustment of status. My question is:

Initially my wife who is the USC filed the petition for me. After I got my EAD, i secured a job here and I am earning more than the required 125%. My wife has stopped working now since she is 7 months pregnant. Will this cause a problem during the adjustment of status process or can I just use my income now instead of hers?

    Thank you.

  4. Hi,

I was wondering if there are any AOS filers from Denver here. I have been waiting quite some time for that elusive interview but nothing yet!!!

This is what my timeline looks like:

AOS packet sent-- 8th Feb 14

    Received-- 13th Feb 14

    Biometrics- March 8th, 14

Status moved to testing and interview-- 18th March 2014

    EAD approved--April 25th 2014

    Nothing since then..

Eagerly waiting to see what other Denver filers timeline looks like!!!

  5. Nope! Nothing! I really thought we'd have a date by now!

Hey Trasting, How is it going? By the looks of it you still haven't got an interview date. Same situation here. I haven't gotten one either and me and you have the same timeline!! We have been waiting since March 18th for an interview. I got busy after the EAD, applying for jobs and all and this interview thing totally got out of my mind.

Hopefully we both get an interview date soon. The Denver office looks to be a month ahead of the Dallas office in regards to processing I-485 but I am not hoping anything soon. What is the number that you guys called to find out more details?

  6. Hi fellow Feb filers,

Its been a while since I have been on this website. Good to see that many of you have got your green card. I am still waiting for an interview. The Denver office seems to be way behind others. My case went on interview scheduling on March 19th and its still on that. Fortunately the EAD has helped a lot to get the other things going. I am going to change apartments soon so do i just change my address online with USCIS or do i have to send in any forms. Anyone who has done it please advise....

Best of luck to everyone who is waiting for their interviews.

  7. So After getting the EAD card in mail yesterday, I happily went to the SSN office today. It seemed like by the expression of the lady who was serving me that she has never seen an EAD card. After making photocopies and all she comes back with a paper and tells me that the application is accepted but it may take upto 4 weeks to get the card since they will have to get confirmation from the Immigration department regarding the document being legitimate. :wow: ..Are you kidding me?? The SSN office doesn't even trust a card produced by the USCIS. Oh well. Looks like I have to wait longer to get a job....

  8. Thank you! So now I just wait. (man this is getting old haha).

I still haven't received my notices saying I was approved for i765 and i131. The status says they mailed them on the 24th though, so maybe it's just slow?

@datta.aj - oh no! I hope you get them soon! did you call USPS?

    Hey Trasting,

I called USPS and registered a case with them but it's of no use now. I got my card... :dancing: . They had updated the tracking information even before it was delivered. I was looking outside my window and waiting for the mail van to arrive and as soon as it arrived I ran down and asked the mail lady if she has any mail in my name. She was nice enough to look through and there it was. My EAD card...hooorraayyy....Hope yours come soon.

I looked it up quickly, and I'll bring my birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate (for proof of my new last name) and EAD. So basically I'm bringing everything just in case

Yeah, I am doing the same. Birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate just in case and the EAD. Hopefully the SSN comes soon after applying as well. The big thing will be that I will have to drive my wife to work tomorrow and then drive to the SSN office by myself. I am still a little skeptical about driving here. Driving in India for all these years and not having any lane rules and all has made me a crazy driver...I have been practicing with a friend here for the past couple of days so I hope it will be fine...hahaha....

  9. Hi Trasting,

I received 2 mail notifications as well. The first one said that Card has been mailed and the 2nd one said USPS has picked up the card. The 2nd mail had the tracking number. I was worried until yesterday that my card still hadn't been mailed and yesterday evening i got 2 notifications that card has been mailed and today morning just now I checked the status and it said delivered. Withing one day... :o.. Amazing...You should get yours soon.

I am headed over to the SSN office tomorrow.

What should we take to the SSN office apart from the EAD?

I was rejoicing too fast. Went happily to the letter box to pick up my card and its not there. USPS website says item delivered at 9:35am but nothing is there.. Very worried right now. Called the USPS customer service and raised a request with them. GAhhhhhhhh..

  10. So I called, and the lady didn't seem to know what I was calling for (??) .... she told me my status was in card production meaning it was being made. I said I knew that, I got that notification 5 days ago, and today I got that it was in the mail but without a tracking number, so she tells me it's ready to be mailed but not mailed?

I guess I'll just wait and see... It just sucks - what if it gets lost in the mail and I'm just sitting here for 30 days waiting for it?!

Has anyone received two mail notification? (like a second one with a tracking number)

    Hi Trasting,

  11. Thanks, it still does not feel real lol

I know right. I would probably have the same feeling when I would be done with my interview. I had heard stories about people waiting around 6-8 months for interviews and approvals and here you got your Green card approval in a little over 2 months. That's amazing. Hopefully everyone else gets their applications as soon as yours....Congrats once again and hope you have a great time ahead!!! :) You would have to do another application in 2 years time, if I am not wrong??

Congratulation.....We have similar time lines so hopefully my approval will come soon :) Congrats again

Thanks a lot. Yeah, our timelines are quite close. Your NOA1 date is 7 days after mine so you should be getting approved by next week as well. FIngers crossed!!! :)

So after 80 days I have finally moved on to the "Testing and Interview" stage. Is it possible for me to get the interview before May 27? That's my first day at my new job in another state and it would not be good to ask a day off from work soon after I start...

Getting the interview date after moving into Testing and Interview stage is totally dependent on how fast your local office works. Looks like your local office is Boston and other members of Boston usually get their interview date around a week after their status changed to Testing and Interview. Hopefully that happens for you as well...:)

  12. Hi Everyone just wanting to update all those waiting. We just received our update on my husbands EAD! :D Its on card production as of today April 23rd. Wheww that done, he can soon start working. Now just waiting on Updates from i485 which Houston seems to be running slow.

Congrats on the EAD. My EAD is on production as well as of today...Hoping to get it soon!!!

We almost have the same timeline! Except my biometrics were on march 18. I haven't anything since, but you're giving me hope it might be soon!! :D

Hang in there. Hopefully you will hear something in the next couple of days. Fingers crossed!!

  13. Just received the notification that EAD has been accepted and its in production. YAAYYY... Now I can finally apply for the SSN soon and start working...Congrats to everyone who got their EAD's approved today as well... :dancing:

  15. So happy! My EAD just changed to "Card Production" :)

My AOS however has been in "RFE Response Review" since March 31. I'm wondering if it's normal to get the EAD before the AOS changes to "Testing and Interview"? I see a lot of other people in here who've also filed from Boston with interview dates.

    Good luck to everyone!

Congratulation on your EAD. Could you please post your timeline so I can see if I am getting any closer or not. Thanks.

  16. We filed on Feb 18, and my case status is still not at the decision stage (in the review stage, and the last date shown for any changes is Feb. 20). How long does it normally take?

I know the processing time should be 3 months total, so that means we would be about 4 weeks aaway for that time frame.

    Thoughts?

My timeline is almost same as yours and I haven't heard anything yet as well regarding the EAD. But if my abd VJ's calculations are correct then we should hear something about the EAD by next Friday. Next week might be a big one for us. Here's my timeline as well. Best of luck.

  17. I think I've messaged everyone! I could have just posted it i guess haha I didn't expect so many people would want to see it.

Congrats on all your updates everyone!

According to the USPS my EAD is at the Birmingham sort facility right now so only about an hour away yay!

Would you mind sending the Interview list to me as well. I will have something to do at least while I wait for my EAD and interview notification date. Thanks.

  18. Wow, almost a month ago..do you plan to call them and see why it's taking so long once the month is up?

I do plan to call them one the month is up, although I don't know if it will help much. From what i saw from the office processing times, Denver is quite slow and way behind other offices like Boston and San Francisco. I am just hoping to receive the EAD within April so I can start working. I have been home for so long that its driving me nuts now. :P

I am super worried :( my I-485 is still on acceptance and the EAD and AP are still in received. I am getting super impatient as i see most of you got all the updates already :(

    Hey jojha,

Don't worry friend. We almost have the same timelines. My NOA1's are date Feb 20th and I have seen some FEB filers whose NOA1's are dated around Feb 12 and 13 have got their EAD's accepted. So hopefully we will hear something by the end of next week. Fingers crossed and Best of luck. :)

I got notice today that my EAD card was in production! Looks like speaking to my congressman and expediting worked thank you for the advice!!! How long does it take to get it usually after it is in this stage?

Congratulations and hope you get your EAD card soon!!
